By nature it’s always not possible. Christian community proved to have 0 vision and leadership . Including the patriarch
This has been indeed a major problem and handicap...We are now on the verge of extinction or survival. Not sure how to get the basis of LF and FPM to think beyond their nose and their leadership cult

There is no extinction man. The christians are still here and there is alot of them. We aren’t the christians of Syria or Egypt. Our problem is unity same as the shia duo. If we had this unity we can be a huge force to be reckoned with. Bas hey 3andak a christian party ma3 HA la damm!

We need to be clear that Partition is separation from the majority of Lebanese Sunna and Shia. In this regards both current top Christian so called leaders (which actually both of them do not qualify for that label) are in muslim arms: Gebran with the Shia and Geagea with the Sunni/Saudi.

The only entity that will remain almost fully in the new Lebanon are the Druze and there we need to make sure we appeal to them enough to support this project

For years, Maronites have monopolized political decision focusing on the advancement of their areas, while neglecting the rest of the country and putting other communities, especially Shiites, at an economical and social disadvantage. You can't erase years of neglect and poverty overnight. The Maronites had a headstart so it's only natural they are better educated and can afford to pay their taxes on time .

Also, regarding your comment about Shiites not having any sense of honor, they are are people who sacrificied their lives for Lebanon's sovereignty while you guys were getting drunk in nightclubs, so rou7 ballit el ba7er.

Lebanon's golden era is a joke. Vintage pictures of bikini-clad women at the Phoenicia pool mean nothing. It's only the capital that benefited from the tourism boom on the 60d and 70s. The rest of the country was living in misery.

Muslim had 32 years since Taef in 1990 to loot the state and they have done that ruthlessly. The whole Majeless ( Al Janoub, AL E3mar, AL Jabal, etc..) since 1990s have spent on muslim region multiple times what has been spent in the past in the Christian parts

اما في القطاع العام ووظائف الدولة فغزوتوها كالجراد و أكلتم الأخضر واليابس . أما الضرائب و دفعها أو بلأحرى عدم دفعها فحدث ولا حرج

If Christian had advantages in the first phase of Lebanon to the 1975 civil war , muslim have over exceeded and outperformed their great Christian example (or complex)

So enough of this leitmotiv, it is outdated and goes back to the 70's. We in 2022 are saying two negations do not make a confirmation for a nation, time to go split back to pre 1920!!!

I don’t think you know Lebanese history that well. You lay all the blame on the Maronites and accuse them of having developed ”their” régions at the expense of other religions, tell me do maronites in Kobeyate, in Deir el AHmar, in Marjeyoun feel they were invested in? More than Druze in Aley? Than Sunnites in Beirut? Or Tripoli in the 50s and 60s? I don’t think so.what you had was a collection of feudal lords catering for their communities, with a big focus on the coast and greater Beirut. It was not a “religious” issue, it was a socio-economical challenge. It just happened that most Shiites lived in rural areas and disproportionately suffered from this compared to Sunnites or Druze or Christians in general

It is funny that Muslims are being blamed here for some little pennies, when the TRUTH is that the Muslims lost so much when they (the Europeans) decided to split us from our surrounding and from our brothers in this region!

The level of destruction this brought us, is what we see happening to us all today!

So many cities in Lebanon that used to economically belong to other local regions in Syria or Flistin were simply forced to be cut out from their surrounding for some stupid drawn borders by the colonizers, by centralizing Beirut while this new centralization totally neglected the so called South and the North!

And even despite all that, the Muslims are supposed to behave like a tiny, tiny minority or some second class citizens by sharing everything 55/45, Even for the tiniest public job! And to add the cherry on the top, all the highest positions must belong to a specific Christian minority among other shit meanwhile claiming they are for modernization and secularism!

Now with the Taef accord it changed from 55:45 ratio to 50:50 in share of power between the Muslims and Christians, yet you have some crying about their so called "Christian rights" being taken from them and how this little change is unfair!

So screw all this, no one in his right mind would accept any of this!
And you honestly expect all this to be for free and won't come at any price?

I Say! The minorities need to be reminded of their true size and the majority needs to learn about their size too and stop behaving like an insignificant tiny minority!

Now sadly all the defeats in our region from WW I to this day is making sure this not happening anytime soon!
Something many are obviously happy about!

Minorities have been used so much here by victimizing them alone, while in fact millions of people of this region are refugees!
Like I mean most refugees are from so called Flistin and now days from Syria which the vast majority of them are Muslims!
Yet, we are not expected to consider anything of that and only should feel bad for the minorities!

While I do believe the minorities must be respected and protected and given the right to rule themselves within specific boundaries that doesn't threaten to majority like the case is today!

Anyhow, if you folk believe, you can make your own tiny "Israel" go for it!
The rule of the strongest applies here too. so while it last enjoy because God Willing, we will be back, as long as it takes and we shall not remain defeated for ever! 😅

We lost our dignity!
They reduced us to bunch of scattered beggars ruled by some short sighted and blood thirsty tyrants.

Ahhh the Arab dignity.
How do you gain back your dignity. What do you propose? Unite with Syria?
Ironically you left to the west, didn't you? Right in the arms of the ones who stole your dignity?
Don't you need to resolve some personal issues first?

This is nonsense and useless discussion. The booming era was on all classes . Even low income could afford living in the capital

The pro-taef duo proved that the country was better handled before. Now there is just mafia and ordinary people

I'm not following what is the recency of this statement for current events like the port explosion.
Can u act like a compatriot and support the investigation?

I'm as anti-HA as they come but It's quite obvious that Bitar is a paid mercenary. He's politicized as phuck. He's fixating on a few people who can be accused of negligence at best rather than going after the real culprits.

I think HA has all the reason not to trust him.
If the Hariri international tribunal was politicized what makes you so sure this one won't be?
