Nasrallah: We are Closer than Ever to Liberation of Jerusalem

by Naharnet Newsdesk

Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Wednesday announced that the “liberation of Jerusalem” is nearing.

“Today in the year 2020, and despite all the international and regional transformations and all the storms, earthquakes and sedition that have stricken our region, and due to the faith, resilience, patience, honesty, loyalty and communication among the nations and forces of the axis of resistance in our Arab and Islamic world, we find ourselves closer than ever to Jerusalem and to, God willing, its liberation,” said Nasrallah in a televised address marking Quds Day.

Hizbullah's regional backer Iran does not recognize Israel and has marked Quds Day since the start of its 1979 Islamic revolution. Al-Quds is a historic Arabic name for Jerusalem, and Iran says the day is an occasion to express support for the Palestinians and emphasize the importance of Jerusalem for Muslims.

“The real scene upon which any interpretation, vision or evaluation of the future must be based is the firmness, resilience, rise and growth of the resistance forces -- be them governments, nations, factions, movements, peoples or elites -- in Palestine, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon, and across our Arab and Islamic world,” Nasrallah added.

“The real scene is being reflected by the statements and stances of the Zionist officials, who are scared and terrified by the victories of the axis of resistance and are stunned and disappointed by the defeat of their allies and America's allies on several fronts and in several wars and confrontations in our region,” Hizbullah's leader went on to say.
He also noted that Israeli officials “are clearly expressing their extreme concern over the growth of the resistance's capabilities as to quantity, quality, manpower, armament, technical expertise, morale and every other aspect.”

“We in Hizbullah, in the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, stress our firm commitment to this (Palestinian) cause and pledge that we will carry on this path, alongside our patient, aggrieved, besieged and mujahid Palestinian people,” Nasrallah added.

He pointed out that “the sacrifices and patience of the mujahideen and resistance fighters and our peoples, men, women, youngsters and elders will change all equations.”

Recalling the slain commander of Iran's Quds Force, Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Iraq earlier this year, Nasrallah pledged to honor him through “continuing this path, exerting every effort, removing every obstacle, closing ranks, uniting, showing solidarity, preparing all circumstances and paving the way for the day, which will certainly come, in which we will all pray in Jerusalem.”
“Al-Aqsa Mosque will be liberated by the arms and blood of our nation's loyal sons,” he said.

Sayyed Nasrallah to Martyr Suleimani: We Will Pray in Al-Quds, We are Preparing for That Day!

    1 day ago May 20, 2020

    Marwa Haidar
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah described former Head of Al-Quds Force in Iran’s IRGC Qassem Suleimani as the ‘great martyr of Al-Quds’, promising him to fulfill his dream of liberating Al-Quds and Palestine.

In a united address by leaders of Resistance movements on the occasion of Al-Quds Day, Sayyed Nasrallah told martyr Suleimani that the Resistance is preparing to pray in Al-Quds.

“This year, we miss martyr Hajj Qassem Suleimani. Hajj Qassem had worked throughout the day and the night to strengthen the Resistance and to liberate Al-Quds.”

“We promise him and all the other martyrs that the day when Al-Quds will be liberated is coming,” Sayyed Nasrallah said in the address which carried Hebrew subtitles in a clear message to the Israeli enemy.

Talking about the occasion, Sayyed Nasrallah said that Imam Ruhollah Khomeini declared Al-Quds Day as an annual occasion on the last Friday of Ramadan Holy month in a bid to voice Iran’s firm and decisive commitment to Palestine and Al-Quds.

“Today we are so close to liberate Al-Quds thanks to faith, steadfastness, patience and sincerity of Axis of Resistance’s powers.”

His eminence stressed that those who are seeking to normalize ties with the Zionist entity don’t represent the real image of the Muslim and Arab Ummah.

Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the Zionist officials are concerned over the military buildup of Resistance factions across Arab and Muslim countries.

“Zionist officials are scared of victories achieved by Axis of Resistance and astonished by defeat of the United States and its allies.”

The Hezbollah S.G. noted that Al-Quds Day coincides this year with the 20th anniversary of Resistance and Liberation Day (which falls on May 20), reiterating Hezbollah’s firm commitment to support the Palestinian cause.

“We in Hezbollah, pledge to stand by the oppressed people of Palestine.”

Rouhani says Iranians to mark Quds Day in vehicles, not marches

Quds Day rallies are held in towns and cities across Iran to express solidarity with the Palestinians.

    16 May 2020 GMT+3

Rallies next week in Tehran to mark the annual Quds Day against Israel will involve Iranians driving in vehicles rather than marching through the streets to avoid spreading the coronavirus, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said.

The elite Revolutionary Guards would be in charge of organising the driving routes, Rouhani said on state television on Saturday, adding that those joining in could still chant slogans from their vehicles and wave flags.

Rallies to mark Quds Day, which uses the Arabic name for Jerusalem, are held in towns and cities across the country in a show of solidarity with the Palestinians. Typically, those marching chant "Death to Israel" and burn the Israeli flag.

The event was introduced in 1979 as Ayatollah Khomeini consolidated power following the Iranian revolution. Iran does not recognise Israel and considers it to be the source of many problems in the region.

Rouhani said Quds Day, held each year on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan which falls on May 22, would go ahead as normal in 218 other towns and cities, where the coronavirus outbreak has been less severe than in the capital.

"The coronavirus danger is still there, but our situation is better than before," he said. "We have crossed the main peak."

Iran is one of the country's hardest-hit by the pandemic in the Middle East. As of Saturday, Iran's COVID-19 death toll stood at 6,937 with 118,392 diagnosed cases, the health ministry said.

The ministry spokesman said the death toll in the past 24 hours was 35, the lowest in the past 70 days, while the number of new cases was 1,757.

Shia Muslim shrines dotted around the country are due to reopen for six hours a day after Ramadan, which is based on the lunar calendar and is expected to end around May 23 this year.

Shrines would open for three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon, Rouhani said, although he said some areas of the shrines, such as narrow corridors, would stay shut.

The president said restaurants would also reopen after Ramadan and sports activities would resume without spectators. Universities, but not medical schools, would reopen on June 6, Rouhani added. Beauty salons and hairdressers have already reopened.

HA should learn to manage their own country's issues before setting their eyes on another country.

Their people are starving and all they care about is more war.
This thread is not about Hezballah or Lebanon. It is about Palestine, the Palestinian cause and the Quds Day, as it is commemorated in Lebanon and around the world, the same way you commemorate the Armenian Genocide. []

PALESTINE WILL BE FREE FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA

SHN claimed years ago that Jerusalem will be liberated in our generation. How do you picture this coming to fruition? A coordinated invasion by the Iranian axis factions or fi shi gher plan? I'm asking because i can't see it happening.

Palestine is not in another planet. It is a stone throw away. Crossing into Palestine, whether through the use of force or peacefully is achievable. A barb wire fence or concrete fence does not make Palestine move into another planet.

Palestinians have the right to return to their land.

Let’s say hezballah liberates quds tomorrow. I give it a year before the Sunnis ban Shiites from visiting it w y2abbro baad
I think you are very wrong. In spite of all, all Muslims still visit Makkah and Medina. Jerusalem wont be any different. The only difference would be along with Muslims, Christians and Jews and even humanists or atheists would be welcome to Jerusalem. It would become a city for all as it used to be.

My mom used to tell me of how her dad used to travel from our South Lebanon Shia village into Palestine to trade. There was no discrimination. Israehell and its tentacles have deliberated sowed sectarianism in the minds of Muslims to deflect their attention from Palestine. They want to make Palestine a Sunni cause, dominated by their puppets in the Sunni Arab countries. But that has failed. They cant also portray it as a Shia cause because majority of Palestinain Muslims are Sunni. And you cant even portray it as a Muslim cause because Palestinians belong to all religions and faiths. The land of Palestine has never been the exclusive right of only one group of people or one faith. It belongs to all human beings who are from that land, irrespective of their faith or creed.
