Timeline of events:

1. Lebanon has been chosen to host the Summit since 2013
2. Syria was not invited since they were ousted from the League.
3. The League decides to invite Libya
4. Nabih Berri asks that the summit is postponed and that we wait for Syria to return to the League (this will be done the next time the Summit convenes and by voting of all Arabic countries) - He also asks that we don't let the Libyan delegation attend.
5. NBN decides not to broadcast it
6. Arab league insist that the summit is happening
7. Amal supporters declare that they will close the airport if Libya's delegation comes to Beirut

The Summit will happen on the 20th of January. On the 16th delegations start arriving, on the 18th a meeting for Arab Foreign Ministers will take place, on the 19th the head of delegations will arrive.

It is clear that Amal doesn't want anything to happen in the country and they are fighting us with everything they have. LBC intro describes things perfectly.

LBC intro attached.

Us ya3ne the people who want to build a country, work in it and raise their children in it.
But the Amal Movement will claim the same thing. That they are working in the interest if the state.

So basically, you have no problem with inviting the Libyan delegation and pretending nothing happened and Sayyid Musa al Sadr wasnt kidnapped in Libya. One would expect after Gaddafi that the Libyans would cooperate. But they are not. So you're in favor of the Lebanese state abandoning its citizen who was kidnapped in Libya and turning a blind eye and deaf ear to his plight.

Since 1978 similar things happened with palestinians, syrians, saudis and every single arab country that never made lebanon reject them. Sometimes it might be a good idea to invite them and ask them officially to cooperate instead of shunning them and declaring them an enemy knowing that most of the delegation was under 20 when the incident happened! soon the musa al sader incident will be closer to the ottoman rule than to today (19 years from now).

Why did you approve of inviting them in 2002?

In all cases, this is exactly what i mean.

How can a country be built with such excuses? This is really sad.

Because Gaddafi's balls used to weigh a ton back then and they didn't dare to oppose him lol.

I really hope Berri do it....... it is time for the ugly truth.
I say PMA should insist on inviting the Lybians and let this thug do his worst...... let him send his thugs to invade west Beirut and the Southern Suburb and terrorize the residents as he did in 6 Feb....... maybe this will be the start for the real change in this miserable country.
