In islam, ensoulment happens after 4 month but abortion is only acceptable for danger to the mother and rape I think.
Technically, you can abort in Canada at the 8th month.
That's not true, the 20 weeks is very scientific. Even at 19 weeks some fetuses were alive and life had to be terminated.

Late term abortions are rare. Only 0.4% take place after 20 weeks gestation. Late term abortions are performed when the fetus is gravely or fatally impaired or the woman’s life or physical health is at risk.

there is a thread for abortion, when you want to talk about abortion itself without talking about Canada.

‘We Have Our Country Back’: Canadian Readers on the Election

Many Canadian readers said the election of Justin Trudeau was a repudiation of a Conservative government that had flouted Canada’s values of tolerance and inclusion, and a few spoke in defense of Stephen Harper, the departing prime minister, in response to recent columns and op-eds.

“The thing that frightened me most was the muzzling of scientists and voices of dissent which included our public broadcaster, the CBC, artists, environmentalists, book lovers,” Memi wrote from Canada of the Harper government. “We have our country back. High relief indeed.”

Many said the values that Mr. Trudeau promoted during his campaign spoke to their sense of the nation.

“Trudeau won partly because he is not Harper but also because his commitment to Canadian values of a compassionate, peaceful, pluralist society are probably genuine,” EE wrote from Canada in response to an op-ed by Heather Mallick, a Canadian journalist. “He will not be perfect but he speaks our Canadian-ness profoundly.”

Noah in Canada said the Harper government should be credited with keeping the economy in good condition while the United States and Europe suffered economically in recent years. “To boot, Canada was ranked just this year, by a global ranking index, as being the best place to live in the entire world,” he wrote in response to column by Roger Cohen. “Harper is a huge part of both of these accomplishments.”

Others said the Conservative government’s actions turned off people who might otherwise support it.

“The Conservatives truly messed it up because they were so comfortable governing for so long they stopped being creative and giving new ideas,” Oliver Matas of Oakville, Ontario, wrote on Facebook. “Truth be told they didn’t do that bad of a job in the past nine years.”

A few Muslim readers said they were relieved by Mr. Trudeau’s election, given the anti-Muslim sentiment that had been used to win votes by Conservative Party backers.

“As a Muslim Canadian I am exhilarated by Trudeau’s election. It has restored my faith in Canadians,” Mir wrote from Vancouver. “But as Muslims we also need to do our part in becoming a true part of this great nation by contributing positively and by ensuring that we are represented by a message of love for this nation which has given us the opportunities that very few nations can offer.”

A Canadian scientist living in Israel sounded a common note: “relief.”

“As a child of immigrants from a working class background, I watched with dismay as Harper cut funding to public education and healthcare. The very same public education that allowed me to earn a Ph.D. and become a researcher despite the challenges in my economic and social class background,” LG wrote from Israel. “It can only get better from here. It’s a relief to know I can come home again.”

I think the couple that he greeted in the posted video are Armenian. Canada has been receiving Syrian-Armenian refugees for quite some time now

if you come to think about it, Lebanese were forced to migrate to canada because they took in the palestinian refugees. europeans are beginning to experience first hand the reality of what they are taking in, and the canadians will experience it in turn, sooner or later.

the Lebanese, both Christian and Muslims, are slightly different from their surrounding neighbors due to several factors, however there are exceptions in both camps, on of these exceptions for instnace is ziad jarrah, the nephew of a future movement parliament member, was the pilot who flew in the commercial airplane into one of the twin towers in newyork in 911, canada also took in many drug dealers who were arrested on several occasions in Lebanon, some of them went back to hold sensitive public posts in Lebanon, i will refrain from naming them despite knowing them in person.
