That comment actually is quite telling about the way Ghosn's mind functions. It was in response to a question about how he missed it.

He can't stomach the fact that he did not see the signs and projected his personal failure to his anti-Japanese racism. Instead, it's the sneaky, destructive "Japanese minds" that are responsible.

I can't think of anything more disgustingly racist AND pathetic than saying a Japanese mind is "sneaky" and is good at ambush.

You should be disgusted at the pathetic way you chose to go to the extent of obviously deforming a sentence and rearranging it words just in order to claim and hang on to a lie. And for what exactly? What's the purpose? Why are you trying so hard?

A patient and clandestine approach may very well be a strategy that Japanese culture leans towards, and tend to employ more. I do not see this as racism, but rather an observation. It may be right, it may be wrong, and such a strategy is not exclusive to the Japanese.

Of course it's not exclusive to Japanese. Point is, a sneaky Japanese mind has such ability and is very well ready to do it. Period.

Lebanese justice imposed a travel ban on Carlos... Although I understand, it is still humiliating
Not sure why they did it as the Israel trip is prescribed as per the law

Well good then, the Government will not even have to refuse any extradition request, from any country. The Lebanese justice is following its course...

Japanese should have considered the option presented by the Lebanese Government back then : let Carlos Ghosn return to Lebanon and we'll make sure he's present at his trial in Japan.

Their penal system is nothing but an insult to basic human rights.

Let him face trial in Lebanon with the support of thr Japanese judiciary authorities

I am concerned that Japanese try to kidnap him

Things have turned so bad that a man who had visited Israel and shaken the hand of the Israeli president - the guy who also happens to be very rich with a plethora of holdings in Lebanon- is paraded on TV and allowed to give 3 hour press conferences. Once all formalities are taken care of and cleared in Lebanon, I suggest giving Carlos Ghosn diplomatic immunity by assigning him ambassador of Lebanon to Japan.

Of course they want to imprison him. He’s a successful, wealthy, and intelligent male. That’s the last thing the “revolutionaries” want!

Aside from the Japanese issues, he is actually being investigated for corruption and embezzlement in France as well for holding a party for his wife and charging it to the company, it might escape the legality of it as it was also the 15 years anniversary for the car company, but all invited were 99% his family and hers. It is a direct trust/ethics issues that the Lebanese revolutionaries don't want. Also the apartment he is staying in in Ashrafieh is the property of Nissan, a Nissan official came to it, it was filmed on TV and was trying to talk to Carole or Carlos to get the property back, eventually he couldn't get in touch with anyone.
Of course a man tainted with such ethical issues would not be stepping into politics at the right time in Lebanon, he missed the train he would have been the best candidate on a Hariri, Jumblatt or Berri list.

He turned around a failing car company and turned it into one of the most powerful companies on the globe. I don’t mind having someone like that in power in Lebanon. He can have a party paid for by the Lebanese people if he is also bringing wealth to the country simultaneously. More than fair exchange.

Team Ghosn all the way.
