Elections Elections: Batroun-Koura-Bsharre-Zgharta district

This is why he has been working on the expats non stop even though he had first shafted them in this electoral law. And it is no coincidence thata large number of the registration of expats is apparently from this district, an honest coincidence :) for sure.

Hopefully expats will vote against Bassil if nothing else because he advocated for this electoral law that disenfranchised them by not allowing (after this election) to vote for MPs in their districts of origin in Lebanon, from embassies and designated locations at their county of residence, and rather give them a few Bullshit designated expat MPs...

I hope many fly to Lebanon and vote against neofeudal Lord Bassil the Not Qawi.
For an expat , having an mp that represent him , lives with him and knows his concerns is far more important than voting for an MP in his hometown that he rarely visits if any .

Maybe the large registration of expat from this district comes from LF as it is the only place they are strong and can gather on their own over 5,000 people to vote for them lol

If Bassil is not Qawi shou trakt la Geagea and Franjiyeh?

this an article published in aljomhouria 6 days ago to note that aljomhouria is against FPM
This is bullshit. LF are only strong in koura because of the maronites villages where LF usually gets 70% + of the votes due to them being historically part of becharre. Keep in mind that the maronites size in koura is equal to 1/3 of the orthodox votes ya3ne the size of 1 mp.

For an expat , having an mp that represent him , lives with him and knows his concerns is far more important than voting for an MP in his hometown that he rarely visits if any .
No it is not and not for the case of Lebanon and Lebanese expats, and it is not what and why expats want to be engaged in and connected with Lebanon. It is pretty much disenfranchisement and Bassil advocated for it after FPM had in it's usual hypocrisy promised to facilitate expat voting for MP in their own districts from embassies and facilities in their countries of residence. Another hypocritical flip-flop because nefeudal bassili clan decided to be same old same old lebanse political establishment.

I've seen more LF and others registered in this area than FPM. Enough lies and misinforming the public. Bassil worked to have expat votes, you should thank him, but alas

Not true. An expat living in michigan for more than 20 years doesnt give a damn about the road leading to his village eza mzafate aw la2 and he probably doesnt know Who the majority of the candidates are. While if he chose an expat MP that lived with him and knows everything he wants and need still from lebanon after all those year , he will certainly feels that his voice is being heard somehow.

[QUOTE = "freelebanonn, post: 1888350, member: 741"] Dont need to. Its logic 101. Not every expat are like you joseph sitting on the internet all day and following everything that is happening in Lebanon day by day.

I agree with joseph. I want to vote for an MP in Lebanon. Same as any other country that has expats. I want the MP to be from the 128 not adding extra bullshit mps. This expat bullshit vote is crap if this is what happens in the next elections then i dont want to vote outside. I want to vote for the mp in my district. Always seem to fu-- something the lebanese.

Also those li ma biteb3o the news or ma3ando family hounike, doesnt go masalan la chou badna his registration and vote??

Some seem not to understand the difference. On the voter list currently there 3.5 million maybe a little but more. Nearly half are outside the country I and my family one of them. We have never voted in Lebanon. I want to vote for the MP that represents my district. chou bihemne ana if there are 6 MPs for expats? chou bado ya3mele exactly? We have 26 cazas in Lebanon. 6 MPs from which area??? How does he represent me? This is the bullshit side of the law. For me I registered as an outside voter just so I can vote this election BUT if this expat bullshit goes through I don't want to vote outside and will try to see how I can vote inside the country how it always has been prior to these elections.

nchalla Ghosn bel koura byes2ot w byetla3 SSNP or Marada or Georges Atallah.
mabadna FM in this district abadan...
Anyone but Marada and co. I hope LF gets 5 mps to minimize Marada share.

What's coming after election is a fight between President Aoun/FPM vs. Amal illegal grab to state institutions, clienteles and corruption. What we saw couple months ago from public employees of state institutions', threatening the Lebanese of airport foreclosure, electricity and so on because their boss was called baltajeh, should be a priority in fighting.

Bassil have been fighting this one sided sectarian clienteles into imposing Christians to be employed to these public institutions. It is bothering lots of sectarians and clienteles... this is why, the less Marada and co, the new dhimmis, the better; even if LF and co are going to win it.Enough blatajeh w za3raneh w fassed w ta2ifiyeh w 7e2ed against Christians

Give me one example that we have increased or placed a christian in public institutions that was Marada or Berri men?

I hope in this district in Koura FPM candidate gets elected. We know him personally and he is a good person who can do more than what the Marada and SSNP did in Koura which was leveled it to the ground in the war. I just don't want FM to be represented in this district.

Look at the cabinet, President+FPM+LF= 10 or 11 ministers; almost all Christian ministers have parties with Christian base. Berri and others have their hands off of Christian nominees by force thru FPM fight. They can't nominate no more of the Christian share as they used to. This is their sectarianism, this is their fight, they don't like to see a Christian with a say in Lebanon. 3am yetra7amo 3a iyyem Ghazi Kenaan

    Agreed.
In this district there are 10 MPs.
If FPM get 2 and LF get 4-5 that is 6-7 MPs. The rest of the cronies can get their MPs. But the majority will be FPM and LF.

For the Akkar region if one christian MP goes to FM. The other two one each for LF and FPM that is a great improvement for a district where the christian parties had 0 MPs in this district from 2005 until now.

There needs to be a transfer of the maronite seat from Tripoli to Batroun or even Koura. Koura has 15K maronite voters which have no seat. 1 Koura orthodox seat can go to Batroun where it has over 8K voters. From this law the christians have recovered alot in the North. They are overall 44% of the North and the percentage is the second highest in the country after mount lebanon.

Just like in France, you will be able to choose before registration deadline: either you come back to your country and vote for your local MP, or you stay abroad and vote for a dedicated expats MP
    What’s the problem
