All respect to this gentleman! I hope he continues with his effort. This guy can start a true patriotic non-sectarian movement after the so called civic societies of ta2 7anak mfakir halon elites gada w dima w paula w toz are bunch of hypocrites that destroyed any legit opposition.

I hope he creates a movement and in 2 years run a list all over Lebanon.
2al za3im Jumblat w beik Franjiyeh... who are these people to be enslaved to their families all our lives? Byeklo w bishekho w bimouto metelon metel ghayron... haydak sallam ebno w eben ebno w 3eyshin bi 2sour.

chou dakhal HA?? u want them to protect u? lol
If left for Jumblatt and his allies, we would have had a Christian pogrom targeting FPM Christians after the qabrshmoon incident. But he knows very well that he can't return to his past hobbies of killing innocent people on ID and attacking another community without a backlash from HA. If he tries that and the FPM leadership ask HA for help, that would be the prefect time for HA to give him a few more sa7asee7. We are talking of a scenario of civil disturbance or strife where the army would naturally take a neutral position as usual (not to risk Jumblatt putting pressure on Druze army officers to quit).

Discussing the fire with a friend, he gave a reasonable idea why anyone would want to start such fires. He said it is likely a deliberate act so that the burnt trees can be used for charcoal/firewood. It is MONEY! So more reason why the aftermath of the fires and how the burnt trees are handled should be of interest to the public. The media should keep watch on how the burnt trees are disposed or made use of. Through that, we may know the culprits.

remember when you banned me in the thread of "foresting" by jraisati and the presence of president Aoun?
when I said, that planting new trees isn't going to solve the problem but making an environment police division
    (not tourism police division)

Be sure to thank Allah and not the "سماء"

7abibe your going into deep issues here that have nothing to do with it at all. All I am saying is that the minister should speak respectfully to any person. not every person that has money automatically becomes a crook, a thief or is corrupt. This Lebanese mentality should stop. When a person targets you politically reply in return.
You mean like they say about most FPMers? w 3a rasson Bassil?

George Mitri, director of the land and natural resources programme at the University of Balamand, said this meant the already-severe devastation would continue.

Before the recent fires, Lebanon had already lost three million trees in 2019 alone from forest fires, equivalent to all trees planted in reforestation initiatives over the last 15 years, Mitri said.

That figure equated to about 1,300 hectares (3,212 acres) lost this year, which is already above average. But Lebanon had lost at least another 1,200 hectares (2,965 acres) in just the last three days, Mitri added, meaning that the country had now lost double the yearly average.

HOW WERE THE BURNT THREE MILLION TREES DISPOSED, HANDLED, USED OR CLEARED?
