FPMers, where do you think Bassil messed up?

Of course it is not a fair comparison. The Finance Minister made a mistake and paid for it immediately: in one meeting with the President, he dialed back on his statement and said that no debt restructuring will be done. In other words, he was held accountable and corrected his error. Besides that he doesn't have a habit of always doing mistakes of various types. Bassil is different. He was never held accountable, never changes his bad course of action and doesn't bother to correct his sinful behavior. An accumulation of various types of unforgivable mistakes leads us to this conclusion: the "someone" who wanted Gibran Bassil to be hated so much...is Gibran Bassil himself. He destroyed his own reputation, and that of his party and the 3ahed with his own bare hands.

You rightly said "Gibran and FPM have lot of work to do to restore their image in comeback "

Very true! Yet neither the FPM nor Gibran are even starting with this long process. It all begins with an honest acknowledgment of responsibility. This has yet to happen. All FPM Ministers, Members of Parliament and FPM supporters continue to blindly defend their party and their party leader, even positioning him as a 'victim' who is being unfairly 'attacked'.

Let me give you a recent example. Yesterday I watched an interview on a show on OTV with MARC ZABBAL. He is a long-time veteran FPMer (for more than 20 years) who is in charge of FPMers in Diaspora (mas2ool el intishar). Throughout the interview, he kept recalling the glory days of GMA and FPM, and how it is great to be part of this movement, and most importantly, that it is a must for all of us to stand beside our Gibran Bassil and our President…and he kept boasting how great Gibran Bassil is and how glorious and legendary GMA is. Typical blind follower mentality. He then promoted Sunday’s event where FPMers will rally in support of their President all around the world

So here you have it. Marc Zabbal, a 20+ year old veteran of FPM, continues to glorify the leaders, drawing a perfect world for a party that is clearly in deep crisis, in image, public performance and credibility. He fails to see a single mistake or responsibility for what happened in any of the party’s leaders….instead he has the audacity to defend them blindly as if they were saints. He clearly lives in Lala Land. Just like many of the other FPMers.

It seems that “Restoring the image” is going to take way longer than anticipated…or may not happen at all.
So are you saying that all the focus of the revolution anger and curses on Bassil was normal and justified and all the media attack is also by chance?
Don't you for 1 second stop and ask WHY (other than blaming Bassil)?
Don't u ask yourself why PMA is constantly under attach like when he went to NY to give Lebanon speech in the UN and the media went on a frenzy about the 160 persons (who are in fact 60 persons) accompanying him and all the trip expenses?
Don't u ask yourself why suddenly the USD was not available in the market, then the gasoline, then the flour?
Don't u ask yourself why the media is not talking about the real corruption files of Berri/ Jumblat/ Snayoura/ etc... which are available for any serious researcher.
Don't u ask yourself why the media is turning a blind eye on the fact that all the MPs - except Strong Lebanon bloc- voted against the famous 4 laws in Parliament that PMA mentioned in has last 2 speeches?
Don't you ask yourself why the media was attacking Judge Aoun when she processed Mikati file to the court?
Don't us ask yourself why 80% of the Lebanese media is on KSA payroll as mentioned in Wikileaks?
Don't u ask yourself why Frangyeh/Jumblat/Berri/Sanyoura/Mikati/Hariri/etc... never attack each others even when they are politically on opposite fronts?
Don't u ask yourself why nobody is talking about the Syrian refugees return to Syria other than Bassil and PMA?- and now Bassil is silenced
Don't u ask yourself why in the first place Hariri Senior economic plan took us down this road that led us to the 100 billion USD debt? Hariri Senior was a very successful businessman and he knew what he was doing.
Don't u ask yourself why Hariri senior and Hrawy signed the decree of naturalization of 200 K Palestinians and Syrians which is against constitution? what was the benefit for Lebanon of such decree?
Don't us ask why that a study under Hariri patronage counted the Palestinian refugees as 170 K despite the fact that they are almost half a million and, and the study result was announced in an official seminar form the big Saray?
Don't u ask yourself why that despite all the media attack and the revolution curses against Bassil the 35K party members who includes Doctors/ Engineers/ lawyers/ economists... etc are standing firm behind their party leader, other than calling them Ghanam as Elissa (the signer) called them?
Do you really think that the majority of Lebanese Christians who voted for FPM 1 year back are so dumb and Ghanam?

For the sake of debate I will agree with you that Bassil is the devil himself....but what about the above unanswered questions?

Could you list some of those mistakes, so that outsiders can get a better idea of you're talking about?

It means that Hezbollahi outlaws were dressed as Police forces to oppress the demonstrations because the police/army were refusing to do so

    So It’s the former

those guys are civilian/HA thugs dressed as Anti Riot Police
Rayya el Hassan should be questioned for this

For me, he comes off as arrogant.
And he would have been a nobody if he wasn't PMA's son-in-law.

Unfortunately, in the absence of true miracles, hard and clean work goes to waste a) when it is not communicated properly to a relatively primitive public, b) when this public is lorded over by deceiving/lying individuals, and c) where political/effective power is proportional to said public support (is basically made of it).

There are circumstances where delegating to God one's tasks is legit (e.g. shouting out 'el ha2i2a rah tbayin' seconds before an unjust decapitation), but in other circumstances it would be a sin (e.g shouting out 'el ha2i2a ella ma tbayin' when one still posses the needed potential, ability and opportunity to work for it and doesn't). A sin that can be absolved nevertheless. I hope the recent events contribute to that end.

No he did not mess up

He brought the real topics on the table and was the only one calling to get the Syrians to return to their country plus opened his bank accounts

What about Jumblat? Did he mess up? He should be jailed

Bro we all know WJ and Berri and their clowns. One judges FPM as they said they want reform and change.
