France's Le Pen to visit Lebanon: government source

French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen will visit Lebanon next week for talks with leaders of Paris's former mandate territory, a Lebanese government source said Wednesday.

"Madame Le Pen will be in Beirut on the 19th and 20th, and will meet (President Michel) Aoun and (Prime Minister Saad) Hariri on Monday," the source told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The latest polls for April's presidential vote show Le Pen, who heads the far-right National Front (FN) party, leading with 27 percent in the first round, but she is not expected to triumph in a run off.

At her campaign launch earlier this month, Le Pen vowed to put France first and to fight "terrorism", and she has called for dialogue with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Aoun, who was elected in October, had allied himself with powerful Shiite movement Hezbollah, which is fighting on behalf Assad's government in Syria.

Hariri on the other hand is fiercely opposed to the Assad regime, which he accuses of having assassinated his father, former prime minister Rafiq, in 2005.

Le Pen in a magazine interview last month said Syrians were "waiting for... Assad to win this war against Islamist fundamentalists."

Rival presidential hopeful and former economy minister Emmanuel Macron visited Beirut on January 24, where he met both Aoun and Hariri.

While he did not call for an alliance with Assad, 39-year-old centrist Macron advocated for a "balanced policy"

towards the regime and the myriad rebels fighting it.

Right-wing candidate Francois Fillon, dogged by revelations his wife Penelope was paid for years for a suspected fake job as a parliamentary aide, cancelled a visit early this month to Lebanon and Iraq.

Paris had mandate power over Lebanon and neighbouring Syria during the first half of last century.

Ahlan Wa Sahlan.

We might need to teach her a thing or 2 about how civil wars start and end.

She is somehow the French Trump, and she is still on probation in what concerns whether she will lead the French Sanjak or fight the Empire.

Hi enough to beat both camps united, to the contrary of what the MSM and and other Zionist lackeys are trying to picture.

But some are afraid that she could be making a deal with the system, in order to become part of it.

The ones who will vote for her have the exact mindset of those who voted for Trump. And Trump's victory has brought down a lot of fears and psychological barriers.

If she wins, The Trump phenomenon would have crossed the Atlantic, and this process will reverberate and repeat itself throughout Europe.

But the same question remains: Are those builders of a new system, or just a smart continuity of the old one, charged to provide the illusion of a new built one?

And isn't a deal also change? Charbel Nahas wanted no deals and got out with zero influence. Aoun and Hezbollah are doing deals and changing much more, gradually. Must it be 7 May or nothing? Sometimes it is not wise.
Le Pen has been fighting consistently the system for years. Trump is being fought too hard even after election for it to be a deal.

it is quite a possibility that the system will not crumble, and that despite some changes many things will continue business as usual, but the investments in the media alone against the populists is indicative that they constitute a real threat to the current reality in the world that manifests itslef in the european union. the little man is saying no, i had enough. the eu itself as an idea is not all that horrible, what is horrible is that regardless of the system in place, some entities can always buy and slither their way to the top.

what is needed is to have rat guards added to the parts of the system used for infiltration, to prevent plagues such as political correctness and so on.

from the looks of it hollande messed it up big time for the socialists in france, so macron is now the left's only hope, camouflaged as the beloved independent of the press and the media. but i doubt he is going to make it to the second round. it seems it will be fillon vs le pen, and her chances are improving against him, now she's standing at 44% vs 56%, according to the media polls that is, so who knows what the real numbers may be.

Making deals in itself is not bad. But in this specific matter, the deal means a complete change of course and a deceptive action towards the masses. A real treason towards the voter.

her father takes much of the blame for the situation that france is in todya, he was not a very sane person. she is quite more adept for leadership.

but did you notice that we've heard nothing of the fanfare that accompanied the US elections about how people were desperately awaiting the first woman president? where are the women's rights organizations? wala we7de mennon tale3 7essa. these are the tools against which the rats guards should be placed against.

Why do you say so? Do you really think Le Pen will get access to the presidency and keep borders open and accept illegal immigrants? Not dare to shut down saudi backed mosques? Get out of EU? Her whole political credibility would evaporate. Would the other side even dare negotiate on such issues? What are you basing your analysis on?

Only jews? Or all french passport holders including lebanese?
No it's not about Jews, rather about Israelis French more specifically. They show too much their unconditional loyalty to Israel, rather than France. This is what brought the issue to debate.

What's wrong with him stating the obvious?
i agree with you. arabs should have been left to eat desert sand under the boots of ottoman empire which depleted the arab world of everything in 500 years of tyranny cruelty and injustice.

bass ellak shou, ma3leish khayye mare2lna hal kem sene colonialism. the arabs for 1400 years were relentlessly attacking and raping europe. though you should be grateful, at least the west made something out of you, schools, universities, healthcare. what schools did you go to ya 7elo? madrassat khaled ibn el walid w jami3at 3outhman ben 3affan? next you get sick ask the doctor not to treat you with colonist medicines. at leas they taught you how to wipe your ass using toilet paper instead of rocks. that should count for something. but feel free to reject colonialism and go back to your roots, no one is stopping you :)

Enno Macron is right, in fact it was a crime against humanity to colonize Jarabs and give them some civilization :) Without this dose of modernity Arabs would have been left perhaps without oil and the money it generated to feed terrorism, without education and the knowledge to use Internet for example to spread some retarded ideas, and without access to the West and the taste of foreign kuffar concepts such as freedom and human rights. Indeed it was a crime against humanity to push Arabs to have some presence in the modern world, at least it would have spared them the implosion they are living and that is affecting all humans because they can't handle evolution and resort to violence against each others and against all others :)

Anyhow, Macron is loosing it, the idiot definitely lost centrist and right votes should he end up facing Marine Le Pen. This lady is getting luckier by the day because of the incompetent idiots challenging her.
