ستشر في ما خصّ التشكيلات»، بحسب مصادر وزارية. سأل فنيانوس باسيل «كيف يُعقل أن يعرف الصحافيون بأسماء السفراء قبلنا؟». وحين حاول وزير الخارجية سرد كفاءة عدد من الدبلوماسيين من زغرتا، ردّ فنيانوس بأنّ اعتراضه على «مبدأ أنّ الوزراء لم يطّلعوا على الملفّ قبل 48 ساعة أقلّه». وكان فنيانوس الوحيد أيضاً الذي استفسر عن التقارير السلبية المُرسلة في الـ2012 من السفارة اللبنانية في هولندا، بحق مدير مكتب باسيل السابق، رامي عدوان، الذي عُيّن في منصب سفير لبنان في فرنسا. نفى باسيل التقارير بحق عدوان، واضعاً إياها في خانة «خلافات شخصية داخل السفارة في هولندا». وحين ذكر فنيانوس لباسيل ما يُحكى عن أنّ تعيين سفراء ينتمون إلى التيار الوطني الحر في كلّ من واشنطن وباريس والفاتيكان هدفه الإعداد لمعركة وزير الخارجية إلى رئاسة الجمهورية بعد 5 أعوام، أجاب باسيل مُتهكّماً: «أوف... أوف. إذا القصة قصة رئاسة الجمهورية، منطلب منهم (السفراء) يشتغلولكم ياها». الردّ الحاد أتى من وزير الأشغال: «أنت (باسيل) وأنا نعرف جيداً من الذي يصنع رؤساء الجمهورية في لبنان. الأكيد أنها ليست السفارات». حاول الوزير يعقوب الصراف التدخل لمصلحة باسيل، عبر طلب الفصل بين رئاسة الجمهورية والتشكيلات الدبلوماسية، فقال له فنيانوس: «البارحة كانوا يريدون (التيار العوني) استبدالك، واليوم تريد الدفاع عنهم لكسب رضاهم».

I hope Gaby still has the skills to photoshop himself and become 1/10 th of her appeal.
They say diplomacy is 99% brains and 1% appearance.. I personally disagree and claim in this case it should be the total opposite.

Gaby Issa is the role model for all FPMers, he worked tirelessly and effectively for many many years behind the scenes without asking anything in return, he never asked for a parliamentary or ministerial seat, never asked for a position in the party.
