people in europe do not have walid jumblat and nabih birri and samir ja3ja3. they do not have ministers who obstruct power plants from within the government. if one elected official fails, they can elect another. they do not have the problem that elected officials come and go while war lords and criminals still control everything from behind the scenes for ever. they have solved that part. when we solve that part we can hold people accountable for the smallest of issues.

you want to strain out the gnat but swallow the camel whole. once you set your priorities straight we can begin to measure up to the european standards, despite the fact that in many places around the world the common sense of the masses has taken a severe dent for many reasons.

more importantly you still are unable to objectively assess the performance of the Leaders in Lebanon, and this damn is a fine example to that. when people stop wishing that the dam breaks and once they stop lying and making up rumors then and only then will be qualified to objectively assess the performance leaders. until that happens they are a bunch of liars, idiots and evil doers.
The people you're talking about are your allies, you share the power with them gladly and when there was a chance of this to change what did FPM do?
3 years ago during the garbage crisis people went to the streets to bring them all down
What did GMA and FPM do? they accused them of being CIA agents. they turned thr blind eye when people were being beaten and shot on the streets.
So pleaseeee stop trying to convince yourself that these are your enemies.

the people i am talking about are supposed to be compatriots before being allies or adversaries regardless of their political background. this is also part of the sickening Lebanese scene, most people approach the situation as if we are mortal enemies and we should sabotage each other's plans to rise. this is the norm now and most people have been brainwashed not only to accept it but also to practice it. there should be no friend or foes in these matter. the electricity is a vital need for all, so are the dams, so is the oil, so are the legislatures presented, including the social security proposals etc...

the idea that you resort to such replies "go fix it with your allies" is also revolting, because you as a Lebanese also benefit from these projects and law proposals, but instead of backing them up, supporting them and putting enough popular pressure behind their execution, you choose the "these are your allies". simply because you would rather suffer yourself and see others fail, for the tightest and the most idiotic negative political gains where there are in reality no winners, only losers. fine, they are our allies and you are our enemy. keep it up and we will not only go bankrupt but we will also starve to death.

there is a virus more dangerous than corona eating up the Lebanese people.

This is more FPM-related than GB. I personally haven't read the book and so I cannot comment on it, but why would May Khreich decide to purposefully be antagonistic like that? She could have chosen a self-help book, a book about Lebanon, anything else but this.

This antagonistic strategy, enchants some but alienates the rest. It hasn't reaped any rewards whatsoever since 2005, on the contrary it has been the downfall of FPM.

Don't be surprised if, when election times come, he turns out to be one of the most popular.

This does seem like a deliberate dig at the protesters, but I'm not sure what he's saying is meant to be malicious. Also, I'm not sure most people would disagree with him, even if it were.

I doubt he'll be the most popular but he's definitely gaining popularity among Aounists and some lapsed ones but only because people vote out of spite. The more you antagonize a group the more rabid they become. In other words, a rabbi's indirect best friend is the anti-semite because he brings Jews back to the fold. Same thing with a zealous Islamophobes and anti-Christian haters.

This is sadly the state of Lebanese music in general as well. No unique content, generic lyrics and tunes. The song seems rushed and created in a couple of minutes.

Can we get another perspective on this?

as if explaining the reasons for you would make you perceive things from a rational perspective? that will surely surprise me.

now as far as the ppp is concerned, the billionaire politicians were seeking the opportunity to take over the public sector, they are the ones with the money and they wanted to lion's share. FPM simply did not allow that to happen without the appropriate measures in place to prevent the system to be abused and further abuse the citizen along with it, and like in almost every other matter, an impasse was reached, the laws didn't go through, and yes, it was because FPM wasn't approving this charade.
