Such speech makes sense 4 years ago, not today.
Everyone knows that blaming others won't work anymore when you and your son-in-law have been in power for years.
We didn't see any serious single act of corruption fighting since you have become president
We only heard pompous claims from Bassil
The big disappointment of the Lebanese people is that they genuinely believed in you and you let them down, on all levels from the handling of your own party to your management of the country. It was all about how you and your family would profit from every situation.
Personally I don't say resign or not, others are not better anyway but I pity people who is still following politicians who have been lying on them for decades.

Resign, create your own or join an opposition and show us that you want to fight corruption.

If FPM doesn't then they will always be part of the corrupt political class.
So how can you change without being part of the corrupt class in your opinion? So in the next elections, when the cleanest people of the revolution become members of parliament, what should they do to not become part of the corrupt class? Resign when they stand in their way?

This president reminds me of Lester Nygaard from Fargo
That was his reaction when he got confronted by the Sheriff after killing his own wife
I didn't do nothing, i just came home.
Guess who Lorne is.

Good has no power over evil. The FPM may be squeaky clean in terms of not being corrupt, but we need to realize that people don’t remember the victims of a serial killer, yet they always remember the name of the murderer.

The FPM may have had better results if they had treated their opponents the same way the Trump administration does vis a vis Iran and its proxies: Step on their necks and starve them to death. That’s the only way you can deal with the likes of Berri, which explains why he eventually caved into American pressure. Alas, Aounies are simply too nice to mimic such an approach.

Instead, they preferred to regurgitate the same self-righteous nonsense about them being “cleaner” than everyone else, the same way Hezbollah is always daftly proclaiming that they are the most “honorable” of Lebanese people.

When it reality, both groups are full of ****, which explains why Berri outmaneuvered them both. He’s a corrupt bastard, but at least he owns up to it!

Bla bla bla. Tell me what was only in the power of FPM to do and they didnt do it. In their power only without needing approval from anyone.

1- They pushed for oil and gas exploration against Sanioura which delayed it for decades and got it through. That alone is huge for our future.
2- They made the electricity plan to give you and i 24/24 electricity. Your friend Hassan Khalil stopped it over a fake 50 million TVA issue and ended up costing us a lawsuit and 16 billion in losses. Yet sheep blame Bassil.
3- They made the dam plans to get water to Dahye and Beirut. Bass Berris best friend Junblat stops it and you sheep blame Bassil.
4- They stopped the generator mafia and put a ceiling on their pricing
5- They changed the electoral law to proportional.
6- They brought one judge in prosecution and it happens to be the only judge to have pressed charges against politicians on corruption
7- They presented 40+ files on corruption in the state and all of them stuck aand your friends Ali Ibrahim and Ouweydat
8- They pursued auditing of the previous phase and so far managed to find 27 Billion missing. Again, Ali Ibrahims job now.

W enta baadak bet rabbehna jmile ano marra men 8 snin fakkaret la lahza ano ata3 bi rassak maybe tsawwet la FPM.

Wazir 3adel doesnt press charges ya habibe. He cannot arrest people...

Even when Marie Claude Najem formed a committee to count what properties politicians have, the Marada and Amal ministers protested. 3eychin maa 3alam khara w ento bet za2foulon w bet ululna shu 3melto.

I agree with Aoun, even if he is willing to change, the mafia state reinforced by HA, would neutralize his efforts.

My blame to all his team is their short vision and cockiness. Promise before any plan, deal with the pimps then cry me a river after the failures.

Someone with balls and shrewdness needs to unify patriotic groups and partition. The country is built on disparate values and a lie.

Pretty much
As i said, it's going to prove quite tough to convince Aoun vacate Baabda palace in 2022 once his term is over
The guy is glued to the chair

what the president said is very clear. you cannot reempower the same people responsible for the spread of corruption, for the destruction of every institution, and expect that they will be the ones implementing the reforms.

the message is simple and is not simply addressed to the media and to the politicians, it is also addressed to the Lebanese people, you need to revisit your ways of thinking; for in order to overcome the organized mafia - and the web of interests that brings the power houses together regardless of the political facades they pull to distract the masses - you will be the one who will end up paying the heavy the price, from your future and that of your loved ones.

now, it goes without saying there are two sides to this war, those who insist on misdirecting the problems towards GMA and still demand his resignation only aim to weaken whoever dares to oppose that mafia; you may be a victim who jumped on that bandwagon unknowingly, but you may also be very aware of what you are doing and either are willing pawn or simply blinded by hatred, either way you are compromised and are not good for this fight.

if the good people in Lebanon do not consolidate their front, they do not stand a chance, at the moment, they are being turned against each other, in a divide and conquer fashion; it does not get any clearer, if FPM alone cannot invoke the needed change, the action plan is not to attack FPM but rather consolidate its efforts and work together to overcome these obstacles instead of turning against each other.

now what constitutes a good person? and who is this invitation directed to? it is directed to everyone who respects truth, and is not only able to productively work with others but also to constructively manage his or her differences with other people without escalating escalating them into a mini attrition war. this is what it all comes down to.

Yes they would resign like any decent MP or group that doesn't want to work with corrupt people.

You want the decent MPs to resign and let the corrupt mafia take over? Are you sure this will not hurt the feelings of the corrupt MPs?
I never thought of that. Damn you're so smart:banghead:
