Not really, she belongs to the bloc
- that voted for the financial engineering,
- that sabotaged the independence of the judiciary system law (by Georges 3edwen)
- and supported the whole system (from dumpsters, to dams to everything...) when they were promised a share in the government.

Mich daroure tkoun ser2a bi ida ya3ne 😄

Fake news.

I hate to point things out, and correct me if I'm wrong, but why do FPM always vote for Berri as speaker, even if their abstention would be symbolic?
I'm not gonna even talk about the Ministry of Energy fiasco, rather just the recent appointment of a Governor for Keserwen and Jbeil. How the **** does that work when we don't even have Keserwen-Jbeil as administrative region?!
Besides, they, teghyir w islah, are allied with HA. And HA is allied with Berri, one of the main state looters. How the **** does that alliance work?
When one compromises on these things, then compromises in principles and ethics would just constitute the norm, not the exception

It's a shame and a disgrace that Hariri covers for Sanioura (out of necessity because that scum was his father's minister of finance), but what is worse is that other parties don't bother to revive the topic, letting it slowly die in our collective consciousness...
As you said, instead of being persecuted, he gets legitimized by lack of consensus or lack of determination to investigate.
Typical Lebanon indeed.

Because what’s the point of ignoring berri and hariri and medre min when nothing can get done without them?

They voted for him and he sabotaged electricity for 15 years. If they hadn’t eh Yemken Kenna aal cham3a.

You’re dealing with militia leaders that butchered rivals. Berri has 200k people voting for him and a bunch of monkeys ready to burn the city because when gives them 100$. You can’t touch him because your name is Michel and you’re a Christian. Hezballah doesn’t want to touch him because it’s not worth it for him to create trouble in their community.

It’s the same deal with jounblat and hariri.

Fpm tried the sit out approach. The others ruled and people voted for them. Law nataro 1000 sene fpm barra ma keno the people tol3o m’en their zu3ama.

Fpm has to deal with reality. Did it make compromises? Sure. Too many? Up for debate. But when fpm took communications it lowered the fees for the first time in Lebanon. It took electricity and made a plan and it’s known that Berri and hariri sabotaged it openly. It took mhajjarin and is closing their files and presented a case to the judiciary about the corruption there.

It took casino and made it profitable when it was losing

Badri daher even increased the jamerek revenues substantially.

They took economy and lowered all private generator tariffs for the first time.

Fpm fought and brought better election laws.

Yaane the only ministry I’d say they failed at was the environment but they were there a few monthes and it’s not an easy matter.

Intel: US warns Middle Eastern partners against Chinese investment

The State Department’s top official overseeing US policy in the Middle East warned countries in the region against accepting Chinese investment, contracts and coronavirus aid during a virtual interview with the Middle East Institute today.

Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Schenker said the United States has told its partners in the region to take “a careful look at investment, major contracts and infrastructure projects,” warning that they could “come at the expense of the region’s prosperity, stability, fiscal viability and longstanding relationship with the United States.”

“We’re not forcing countries to choose between the United States and the PRC,” said Schenker, referring to the People's Republic of China. “Countries can and should maintain healthy relationships with both, but we want to highlight the costs" that come with certain engagements with China.

Why it matters: American-Chinese relations have deteriorated considerably amid the coronavirus pandemic as both sides take swipes at each other over their COVID-19 response. Amid the escalating feud, the United States has become increasingly assertive in trying to push its Middle Eastern partners away from China’s orbit.

Israel awarded a $1.5 billion contract to construct a water desalination plant last month to an Israeli company rather than a Chinese one after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo publicly pressured Israeli officials against the Chinese bid during a visit to Jerusalem. Washington also rejected an offer from the United Arab Emirates to provide COVID-19 test kits to the US Embassy because China was involved in manufacturing them. The UAE has significantly deepened its ties with China in recent years, including contracts with the Chinese telecommunications company Huawei.
“Make a deal with Huawei, basically all the information and your data is going to Huawei, property of the Chinese Communist Party,” said Schenker. “When you take a COVID kit from a Chinese genomics company, your DNA is property of the Chinese Communist Party, and all the implications that go with that.”

China also has supplied the UAE with drones, which in turn have made their way to Libya to support Khalifa Hifter’s assault on the UN-backed government in Tripoli.

Schenker also noted that China “got free press” for shipping thermometers to a Lebanese airport, even though the airport had been closed for several months.

“China is engaging in this face mask diplomacy in an effort to repair its tarnished reputation that flowed from the lack of transparency, how they dealt with COVID. So, they delivered a face mask here, PPE there.” PPE stands for personal protective equipment.

What’s next: Middle Eastern oil exporters have increased their petroleum shipments to China in recent months as the country recovers from its initial COVID-19 wave while US and European markets remain stagnant amid the pandemic. The increase in Gulf oil output coupled with the decreased demand has hammered US shale oil markets, creating a source of friction between the United States and its close partner Saudi Arabia.
Know more: Rina Bassist has the details on how the United States may have thwarted China’s bid to construct the water desalination plant in Israel.

China’s Embassy in Lebanon Refutes US Accusations

14 mins ago June 24, 2020

The Chinese embassy in Lebanon issued Wednesday a statement in which it refuted the accusations made by US Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs David Schenker who claimed that Beijing lure countries into signing aid contracts that threatened to transfer their sovereignty over to the east Asian giant.

The statement stressed that China deals with Lebanon on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, and that it never puts any political condition on its loans.

It added that China is “committed in its financial cooperation with other developing countries to respecting the sovereignty of all countries.”

China granted Lebanon over 1 million medical masks, 20,000 personal protective equipment, 3,000 PCR units, and 3,000 pairs of protective medical goggles during this recent period, according to the statement.
It also said that China directed $50 million to the World Health Organization in 2020 to support global efforts to combat coronavirus, and that China pledged $2 billion over the next two years to support the countries affected by the pandemic, especially developing countries.

“We sincerely hope that American officials strive to find solutions to the chronic problems of American society and take care of their own affairs instead of interfering in the affairs of other countries,” the statement concluded.

Regardless who is true or right, we are now beggars. What’s the difference between Angola and Lebanon ? Soon same level. Thank you Hariri, Berry for these last 30 years of looting. You destroyed Lebanon by stealing all the money you could steal.
But you ended up also looting your own people
