he isnt out of the board of nissan yet lol

there is a power struggle between the frrnch maker and the Japanese govt

what ever the outcome

carlos is damaged goods
Mitsubishi and nissan will face tough times ahead, those companies were drowning and ghosn tough love saved them
I think the real culprit here are countries that impose "40% tax on the rich", not the people evading such unjustice.

He's not "m3attar". But just because he's making more money than the average citizen, it doesn't justify robbing him out of it!
That's as silly as making rich people pay double for water and electricity.

Seeing the many job opportunities his company his created, he's probably done more to the society than greedy governments anyway.

I am working my ass off, and struggling with the end of month, and I can assure you that those who are earning the SMIC are living better than me and my family, because they are given bigger apartments than mine (for peanuts), have more benefits than myself (actually I have none), they go to the hospital for free while I have to pay (despite the mutuelle), they travel with cheaper tickets in the SNCF, all of these advantages are given to them, not me.
They work 35hours a week and they are not happy, while I work 50hours a week...
I have to pay for school to give my children descent education, while their schools are free and they don't like to learn...
Above all of that they are unhappy, they descend to the street on every occasion ...

    These are the socialists

That's called a blow below the belt.

I know it's "injustice" not "unjustice". It was a typo. I was gonna say "unjust rules".

Kif you are paying hospitals despite the mutuelle? Are you going to private practice?? Bass even that should be covered by your mutuelle WTF? Heck even in Lebanon you're covered by the sécurité sociale in aubmc and hotel dieu I think. Government housing is open to everyone not just poor people, you will probably pay more though since It's based on salary, Also you chose to put your kids in private schools that's on you! Who is this them ba3dena? Poor people?

The law says Mr Carlos has to pay his taxes, he broke the law! You and manifesto want to paint him as some victim when the guy earned 77 million dollars in 3 years?? Poor guy he had to pay nearly half of that in taxes and only declared 35 million to pay less.. ya m3attar otherwise he would have earned about 46 million I feel so bad for the guy!

In the child custody thread, you took the mother's side arguing that some laws are unfair and should be disobeyed.
Suddenly you're Mrs. "Law & Order"?
The wealth tax is also a discriminatory law and should be repealed.
Just because someone is well off, it doesn't he mean he should be subject to ridiculously high taxes.

I didn't say some laws are unfair and should be disobeyed I said some laws should be changed!

Also the wealth tax is not discriminatory it helps towards reducing discrimination! If you think some guy earning 77 million dollars should get to keep his full amount and buy luxury houses all over the world while the poor sucker earning 5000/month has to pay the appropriate taxes then you're the one advocating discrimination! And if you think no one should pay taxes then tough break that's just the world we live in buddy!

Yes let's make the wealthy pay extra for everything. That's less discriminatory.

I'm not saying the rich should not pay their taxes, but the same percentage should apply to everyone. 40% is insane.

There's no reason the poor should give up a bigger part of their income.
They do not consume more electricity or water or get sick more often than the average citizen.

I think you meant rich and yes they do! The more money you have the higher your carbon footprint is but that's not the point right now.

Rich people are taxed more because when you make the minimum wage in most countries you don't make an amount you can live a decent life on, most governments would offer you help, they don't tax you on top of your already pathetic salary! And if there's a big chunk of the population not getting taxed since the rich people employing them are not paying them enough, that money has to come from somewhere, so how about the pockets of those employers not offering their employees a liveable amount of money?

The tax code is complicated enough when it's that of the country you live in, you want to discuss the fairness of the Japanese tax code now?? Also just checked and based on Google they have a flat tax so it's the same amount for everyone, about 21% not sure where that 40% comes from? But either way 46 million dollars is hardly a crappy salary or something to look down upon! If he got taxed more it's because he's earning a lot more than everyone else, that's what I call lucky not insane!

No, it's not a flat tax rate. Check out the table below.

Cool so why should someone who made 10 billion yen get away with paying less taxes relatively speaking than someone who made 40 million?
Because...socialism. That's why. A flawed system that makes it legal for governments to rob hard-working people of their money,
so that the lazy can live off welfare benefits.

Many countries are proposing n the introduction of new flat tax rate, such as Italy for instance.
Russia has a 13% income tax rate.
Progressive income is the biggest absurdity of the 21st century.

I get ur point but income tax by itself is discriminatory and inefficient, in most countries it was implemented as a surplus tax to fund wars and never revoked because hey steady influx of moneyz, napoleonic wars for uk, civil war in the us, ww1 in france...

Indirect taxing is the most fair and just system because it penalizes you on ur shopping habbits and doesnt discourage you from working more and achieving more, its problem is that its hard to budget.

But a 40% tax rate is plain extortion by any definition if the word

I'm poor enough to think that 40% is not extortion :p! But that's also not the point! Taxes pay for everything, you're limiting it to war but that's not the case whatsoever! I'm sure you just paid your housing tax this year and you got to look where your money went.. education, military, EU contribution, healthcare, etc.

I'm not opposed to the concept of tax brackets either! I don't think it should be the same whatsoever! You earn more you pay more but you also get to keep a lot more!

Laws are meant to achieve equality, not to address your personal feelings or envy of the ultra-wealthy and powerful.

Yes i did just pay ot and because of macron’s fiscal illiteracy i had to pay an extra 283€ :p

Thats not my point tho, i am talking about a specific form of tax which is income tax, the state is literally telling you give me a big chunk of what you produced ir i put you in prison, hence extorsion.

Indirect taxation is much more progressive and fair by any standards
