They were fine buying them, and now, they will build them, and they will compete with everyone on this level.
Good job forcing their hand into that.

Imagine the Houthis building their own rockets no supreme power on earth can stop them.

After isolating Iran for 40 years and giving Saddam immoral support and cover-up to destroy it, Iran comes around as an independent technological power house all on its own that can intercept and commandeer a US stealth drone and share its technology with others. Wasn’t the reason that convinced the Obama administration to finally sit down and talk seriously with Iran?

Tiny Cuba is another miracle after 65 years of criminal embargo to starve its people; it managed to excel in medical research and pharmaceutical domain that made western companies envious.

All the above is nothing compared to China’s gigantic geo-economic advantages and vast resources. Yet some naïve minds can’t even digest China’s size. The largest seize they can visualize is the little Lebanese town they came from…

I was in Hong Kong just recently. Looking up at the structures of that amazing city by the water I could not help it but ask how can anyone think they can destroy or even stop China and its strategic allies from advancing?

Coincidently, Trump’s latest blip is imposing new tariffs against another one of his best allies Australia. Not sure which of his friends will pick his arrogant ass up when he stumbles stepping on his own **** after cashing in every credit and humanitarian value he could put his hands on.

Trump is accustomed to filing Chapter 11 bankruptcies protecting himself from his creditors and writing off his personal losses. Soon his supporters are going to be very disappointed when they find out he can’t protect them from the wrath of the world. World Nations and their people are no corporations.

Agree,

Funny that Trump wants US big corps to relocate from China, to anywhere else (but not America), as if that doesn't come at a cost, and as if it is something that doesn't take years to achieve. And all this for what exactly? Less productivity and higher margins in cost, with lower competitive capabilities. Not to mention that for some, it is suicide. Fair and square. Without China, companies like Nike would literally disappear.

And to make things worse, he is now banging tariffs on Mexico...That is one of the best alternative for those who can afford to relocate there...Adding to it, the crippling of the Auto industry.

No plan, no studies no consultation with the economic sector. The guy is going nuts, completely insane and on the lose, and will bring down the whole US industrial sector with him, if he continues like that.

It's like he is willingly causing collapse and rushing an already present recession...

"as if that doesn't come at a cost, and as if it is something that doesn't take years to achieve" -

Just because nothing is free and it takes years to achieve it does not mean that we must preserve the status quo - there are many countries that could use our help, China now is strong enough to survive without our charity.

This is bombastic rhetoric that has zero value to the one that is being pushed to throw away his long term investment, and start back from scratch. Now you go tell that to Nike and Apple and many others who have been manufacturing their products in China for the last 20 or 30 years, and then tell us back what they responded. I'm not sure if you even realize that it takes years to build such factories as the one they are running...Years...not months....years. So YOU want to take them out of business to spite the Chinese, just because YOU don't have better alternatives? Does Trump have the skills and knowledge required to search for alternatives to start with? NO. Did he consult with anyone who knows far better than him before he let his left ball speak out, instead of his brain? NO. Does he listen to what the concerned parties and specialists are telling him? NO. So why trust and follow him then? On which ground? Oh...Because he fights leftists at home like no one ever did...Yeah that's probably it. As simple and as tragic as it is. The US is turning into a mascaraed of democracy, just like the one we have in Lebanon.

What charity? US companies built factories in China due to cheap labor and abundance of cheap raw material, all in the name of maximizing profits. Do not even think of playing the high morale card. It's all about greed, money, and profits.

What charity? - $500B in a years charity.

And it is only from USA alone.

If we are to add EU charity, which will be sure to follow should USA succeed, then we get even greater sum of charity.

the US is giving 500 billion $ a year to China? You lost your marbles. The only charity I see is China more than 1 trillion $ in US bonds. Now that is one serious motherfuc*ing charity.

Just a friendly advice. Google the definition of the word charity before you embarrass yourself any further.

Empty posts as usual. When u have nothing meaningful to say, best to remain silent then to dig deeper.
Non of them are familiar with anything they are posting in this thread. The only thing they are familiar with is latching on to any possible opportunity to hate on the US.

China issues US travel warning over 'shootings'
  • 5 June 2019 BBC News
China has warned its citizens to "fully assess the risks" of travelling to the US given recent "shootings", as tensions between the superpowers rise.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism warned of threats such as robbery and gun violence, state media said.

China's foreign ministry also said US law enforcement agencies have been "harassing" its citizens with interrogation.
It comes amid a power struggle between the China and the US over trade.

The US reignited the trade war with tariff hikes in May, and broadened the conflict by blacklisting Chinese tech giant Huawei.

Both sides have imposed tariffs on billions of dollars of each other's goods over the past year, disrupting trade and hurting the global economy.

What exactly did China say?
"Recently there have been shootings, robberies and thefts happening frequently in the US. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism reminds Chinese tourists to fully assess the risks of going to the US for travel," said an anchor on Chinese broadcaster CCTV, according to a Reuters translation.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang told a press conference the warning was "necessary in light of current circumstances".

"For some time, US law enforcement agencies have been harassing Chinese citizens with interrogation upon entry or exit, and on-site interviews, among other forms," he said, according to China's foreign ministry website.

"Therefore the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued the tourism reminder, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy and consulates in the US decided to issue the safety reminder to raise safety awareness. That, I believe, is what a responsible government should do."
What's behind the US-China tensions?
The US accuses China of playing unfairly in trade for years and says tech company Huawei poses a risk to its national security.
The Chinese refute this and increasingly see US moves as an attempt to curb China's growing global influence.

Only recently, the world's two largest economies seemed to be nearing a deal. But while negotiations were still ongoing, the Trump administration accused China of reneging on its promises and more than doubled tariffs on $200bn of Chinese goods.
It also added Huawei to a list of companies that American firms cannot trade with unless they have a licence.
China has retaliated with some tariff hikes of its own.

Media captionWhy the US-China trade war will hit most of our pockets
Even though there are no known talks scheduled for now, Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump are expected to meet at the G20 meeting of leaders in late June.
Analysts are not optimistic about the prospect of a breakthrough, particularly after both sides recently pointed fingers at one another for the trade impasse.

I checked my post, then I checked it again and then rechecked one more time - inescapable conclusion, my post is much more profound than your post to which I replied.
The hole is getting deeper and deeper.

And by the way, say hello to the more than a trillion $ in chinese charity in US bonds. 1 Trillion $>>>>500 billion $.. :dummy:

Bonds and shares are not charity - both are mutually beneficial instruments.
The reason that there is a need to explain it to you is the very reason why your post lacks depth of thought.
