Media ramps up campaign to get Biden out of debates with Trump, offering various excuses other than their candidate's failing mind

Media outlets from the New York Times to CNN and Newsweek have offered Joe Biden various reasons over the past several days to skip debates with President Donald Trump. None mentions Biden's fading ability to speak coherently.
A New York Times opinion piece on Monday suggested that presidential debates should be scrapped altogether because they've “never made sense as a test for presidential leadership.”
We didn't need the debates to tell us that Trump had chosen to be the P.T. Barnum of American politics. For him, it was (and still is) all about the show, about distracting the public from reality.
CNN political analyst Joe Lockhart, formerly press secretary for President Bill Clinton, wrote last week that it would be “a fool's errand to enter the ring with someone who can't follow the rules or tell the truth.”
Biden will undoubtedly take heat from Republicans and the media for skipping the debates. But it's worth the risk as trying to debate someone incapable of telling the truth is an impossible contest to win.

Newsweek noted on Saturday that supporters are urging Biden to avoid the debates for various reasons, such as “Trump is not a legitimate candidate” and debates are “outdated political rituals.”
There have been similar stories in the past couple of months, including a July 7 New York Times column suggesting that Biden should participate in the debates only if Trump releases his tax returns to the public and agrees to have real-time fact checkers report on misleading statements during the events.

But the calls for Biden to cancel the debates are growing louder and more frequent as the battles draw nearer – three presidential debates are scheduled to be held from September 29 to October 22 – as the Democrat candidate's cognitive struggles continue and possibly worsen.
Biden has made a series of infamous gaffes, such as welcoming his audience to the wrong place, then trying to pass it off as a joke, when he gave a speech last week in his home state of Delaware. When he is able to string a sentence clearly together, the message is often puzzling, such as “We choose truth over facts,” or “Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”
Biden also has invented such tales as being arrested in South Africa and a war story that the Washington Post found to be false in “almost every detail.” Biden claimed in February to have negotiated the 2016 Paris Climate Accord with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. The problem was, Deng died in 1997.

Mainstream media outlets don't talk about concerns over 77-year-old Biden's mental acuity when wishing the debates away. In fact, they feign confidence in their candidate's ability to perform well in a battle of words with Trump. The New York Times piece saying that debates should be ended said: “This, by the way, isn't written out of any concern that Donald Trump will prevail over Joe Biden in the debates; Mr Biden has done just fine in a long stretch of such contests. The point is that 'winning' a debate, however assessed, should be irrelevant, as are the debates themselves.”
CNN, the same network now opining that Biden should skip the debates, did a “fact check” article in June saying that Trump had falsely claimed Biden was trying to get out of the debates. Biden didn't have to beg out of the debates. The media was prepared to do it for him.
ALSO ON RT.COMSay what, Joe? Biden says over 120 MILLION Americans died of Covid-19
It's no wonder that conservatives aren't buying the press' explanations. “As predicted, the media effort to help Joe Biden get himself out of debating Trump is now in full swing,” an account named Reagan Battalion said Monday on Twitter. Radio host Ben Shapiro said:“'Let's just wheel Joe Biden into the Oval Office on a gurney' is a hell of a campaign slogan.”

Trump, who's trailing in the polls, may be counting on the debates to help turn the tide against Biden. Trump's campaign manager, Bill Stepien, said the president wants more debates with Biden and for the events to take place sooner, before early voting begins.

Wasnt hillary sick 4 yrs ago and she will not last?! well 4 years later she seems fine (not saying she would make a good president but we had the same RT stories 4yrs ago)

Anyway fit as an absolute statement probably not but do americans really have the choice of a fit candidate?! It is a lesser evil vote as usual...
And if he is in a really bad shape the VP choice needs to be solid.

"well 4 years later she [Hillary] seems fine" - how do you know?

Every time Hillary appears on TV she looks talks as if she is still running for POTUS.
Well, I guess she is better than Biden who is still running for Senate seat.

Most US voters don't think Biden will be able to finish his full four-year term if elected president - poll

Most US voters, including nearly half of Democrats, don't expect Joe Biden to serve his full four-year term if elected president in November, saying his vice president will have to take the helm at some point, a new poll reveals.
Fifty-nine percent of all likely voters and, somewhat surprisingly, 49 percent of Democrats, say the 77-year-old Biden probably isn't up to running the country for four years, according to the Rasmussen Reports poll released on Monday.
Less surprising, 73 percent percent of Republicans and 57 percent of independents agreed that it's likely Biden's running mate would become president sometime during his term.
The poll marks a startling revelation as the election draws near, given how infrequently such an event has occurred in US history. A US president hasn't been replaced during his term since Richard Nixon resigned in 1974. Before that, a president hadn’t been replaced since John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Apart from assassination, a president hasn't been physically unable to finish a term since Franklin D. Roosevelt died in 1945.
Rasmussen's findings also show how high the stakes will be when Biden chooses his running mate – a decision he has reportedly already made and is expected to announce this week. Biden has pledged that he will choose a woman for the job, and he faces pressure from within the Democrat party to pick a black woman.
The poll also shows that mainstream media’s concerted efforts to dismiss concerns over Biden's mental and physical fitness for the job have been unconvincing to many Americans.
In an opinion piece published Monday, CNN's Dean Obeidallah argued that a video of Biden riding a bike on Saturday "utterly devastated" allegations by President Donald Trump that Biden lacked the stamina and mental capacity needed for the job. Biden has fueled speculation about his deteriorating cognitive abilities by making a series of gaffes on the campaign trail.
Rasmussen didn't ask likely voters what sort of event they expect to necessitate replacing Biden as president. Thirty-nine percent of poll respondents said it's "very likely" that Biden wouldn't finish his term. Only 14 percent said it's "not at all likely."

Joe Biden chooses Kamala Harris as running mate

1597177638689.png

2020 presidential hopeful Joe Biden has announced his running mate. The Democratic challenger picked former California Senator and former prosecutor Kamala Harris, after promising to select a woman of color for the role.
Biden announced his pick on Tuesday, with Harris previously considered a front-runner for the post, alongside former National Security Adviser Susan Rice. Earlier in his campaign, Biden had pledged to tap a woman of color for the role, avoiding criticism from progressives centered around his own status as an old, white man.
Harris ran against Biden during primary season, though never found the popularity to challenge the former Vice President the way Sen. Bernie Sanders did. During one particularly heated debate, Harris attacked Biden’s record on racial issues, criticizing the Delaware Democrat for his past relationships with segregationists and his opposition to school busing.

WHO THINKS BIDEN ISNT FIT BUT THINKS TRUMP IS FIT 😂

I also didn’t read the post, because Biden actually accepted the 3 traditional debates. It’s trump that didn’t.

Plus, Biden is known for making gaffs, and stutters. It’s not his strong suit. It’s not because of his failing mind. If anyone has a failing mind it’s TRUMP!

To that end. A Dieu :).

Memory loss or lying? Joe Biden’s constant gaffes should worry Democrats
I think the Republicans are more worried than the Democrats. The Republican Party is going through an existential crisis. They are on a path of losing the senate and the presidency. Texas and Georgia are slowly (or not so slowly) shifting left. This is because the only people that the Republican Party appeals to are (older) white people. America is getting more and more diversified and especially states such as Texas and Georgia. It’s already happened in New Mexico and Arizona. Whether or not Democrat’s win Texas in November is not the end, but the beginning. Within a decade, Texas will likely become a blue state, and the Republican Party may never elect another president.

Another major issue republicans are facing is the defectors. John Kasich (a Republican presidential candidate in 2016) is going to speak at the Democrat convention this weekend in support of Joe Biden!

Trump Yesterday said that the spanish flu in 1917 ended World War Two because the soldiers were getting sick. He bragged about passing a cognitive test that assessed whether or not he had dementia. Person Woman Man Camera TV (all I will say about that).

Please remind me again who should be worried?

Trump is over 70 and is a workaholic. He’s the reason that America is in the strongest position that its ever been in. Stock market at a new high btw!
