This problems are historical. Whenever Maronites are, they most times stole the land or came from Syria or Egypt or elsewhere. This is not our fault. Originally, the Christian presence in Lebanon was sparse. The Christian presence grew with the Ottomans who aimed to changed the demography of Mount Lebanon. Later, even Maronites fell victims to the Ottomans and fled the North to Jezzine, another Shia stronghold up till the 19th century.
Actually the land was for ChristianS some 600 years before Islam started, and it was for atheists or pagans way before Christianity was born, and it was for animals before humans came to be... there you have it, you are illegally occupying land that belongs to the fauna and should be placed under the protection of Paul abi Rashed :D

Pure and simple. If it was for Christians, our ancestors some of whom were Christians before they became Shia. There is a major point though. We never in the history of Lebanon replaced or displaced Christians anywhere. But we find several examples whereby Christians displaced or dispossessed us. And you also claimed to have been persecuted.

No you misunderstood... these lands were historically for them :) this is the premise of your argument... striking similarities with the Zionist POV on Israel, so just pointing out that there is history before you got there...

Whether this is true or false, what do you want exactly?

No habibi. Before we got there, we did not have to displace anyone. Most of the Christians in Jbeil and Keserwan are from Hawran. They came in the 14th century. They weren't always there. Same with the North in the area around Koura.

Read history. The Shia presence in Mount Lebanon and the North was at least from the 7th century. Way before there was a Maronite patriarch in Lebanon. In other words, those few Shia villages in Jbeil and in the North are more Lebanese than most of you.

Would be interesting to compare history books written from Maronite perspective vs. those written from Shiite perspective.
