    don't be naive

    la2ano 7aram :)
    ma bia3mlouwa, eh ?
IMHO you are being naive here. " Real" evidence means nothing in a corrupt system such as ours. The inquiry the govt is conducting has one single purpose. That is to linger on until people forget or it becomes totally meaningless. I can tell you now what the outcome is gonna be: qada2 wa qadar. They might find some lowly official to blame negligence on and if they try him and convict him he will get a presidential pardon if he happens to be an FPM appointee. If he isn't and by a miracle Aoun leaves office and, by another bigger miracle, GB wont succeed him, the next govt will quash the conviction. It's thesame game played by the same teams, one at a time.

Unfortunately for this govt this new fire took place at the same port which proves the total inefficiency the whole place is being run. And why must one expect otherwise from the same people? Hopefully for the govt a more disastrous event takes place sooner rather than later and people shift focus.
The country is unraveling on all levels and the fire is but a sympton of this. To expect any positive change in the next thirty years reeks of total foolishness.

    Nah
    It is not that simple
Did you forget that there were large amounts of ammonium nitrate missing ?
Did you forget that Badre Daher destroyed all customs documents pre-dating certain dates once he was appointed a General manager ?
Alain Biffani stated that documents were hid within walls in MOF.
    etc etc

They hide their tracks carefully all the time.
Burning down evidence doesn't have to be related to last month's explosion
Maybe there's evidence of other materials that are either missing/sold/given away illegally and someone is trying to cover his tracks again :)
especially now since items are being moved around and getting looked at and counted.
