Just playing the devil's advocate here but so far HA is acting within the law.
The Lebanese constitution gives ministers immunity and stipulates that they must be prosecuted by the Supreme Council for Trying Presidents and Ministers.
Unless the parliament votes to lift immunity, HA has all the right to contest Bitar's decision.

Bitar has to respect the parliament's decision, no?

Ministers or mps?

el akh @elAshtar is on steroids at the moment...

however, a word of wisdom... one should not create enemies needlessly
many over history have done that by overconfidence in their power, but in the end, we all know what was the result.

Ali Hassan Khalil does not deserve all of this fuss if he is asked to reply to questions.
As Jamil el Sayyed said, even the American technical report didn't point to HA.
So no need to exaggerate the issue beyond what is it about.

but it seems, it is not a matter of Ali Hassan Khalil because we can all agree he didn't bring the nitrate himself.
The story is to let everyone knows who is the boss, and how should we be dealing with him from now on.
You are very ignorant of HA. HA would never do that to protect Ali Hassan Khalil. HA knows he is being framed. Since the American technical report is a well known fact, why is Bitar not releasing it. Don’t bullshit me about sereyyet el ta72ee2.
Second, the first reports of the international investigation didn’t mention HA and over a span of 3 years, only Syria was accused. :)

As Steven am ba3ref shu said. HA reaction is causing a polarization in the country and HA is publicly challenging a judge. You think he would do that to show who is the boss? A party that never used his military power or his victories for internal political gains is concerned about showing who is the boss? A political party who accepted to bring the diesel through Syria in order to not embarrass the state is reacting in this way now to show who is the boss? A party who so considerate that he distributed diesel to all Lebanese and not only to his sect or community is reacting in this way to show who is the boss? Just wow haha

Hezbollah’s weakness is not the battlefield, so we can’t give them what they want, which is physical strife. They’re very ignorant about legal institutions, however, as the group is clearly finding it difficult to defend themselves in that arena;

Possible solutions: Invest less in fighters, and more in lawyers!

The fact that Hezbollah has to try this hard to garner support from the Lebanese is sad, and this is a reflection of how lame they are.

They’re like the dork who demands that the blonde chick talk to him, simply because he opened the door for her and bought her some candies a few times in the past.

Their “look how nice I am” attitude comes off as creepy and disingenuous. If they were real confident, they wouldn’t need to go to such lengths to gain anybody’s favor….

The problem is not the law. It is some behaving as they are above the law.

Look at Rahmeh's situation or Dima's Mtfee boss

Both are defying court rules

The country have too many mafias and militias who are behaving above the law

The law is not something absolute. That’s why firms and companies pay lots of money to individuals who can find ways to manipulate and find loopholes within the law. Hezbollah was more interested in investing in katusha rockets, so they only have themselves to blame.

The system may not be perfect, but threatening to get rid of a judge shows just how unsophisticated and ignorant the group is of legal norms and procedures….

If all HA did was import and store the nitrate they wouldn’t be freaking out like this. Sure it would be bad but what they’re doing now is hurting their image much worse. They’re definitely covering up something more sinister. That’s the only way you can explain Nasrallah’s hysteria! Allah yistour

The title might be

Well, Bitar was not professional to say the least

Those parties involved should carry their cases to Majless Adleh or he have to step down

Minimum, a guy appears on MTFEE claiming he took Nitrate from the port to some places

Doesn't that deserve investigation from the judge?
How can he dismiss something grave like that?

Too many question marks towards the judge

And I'm not too sorry if he is removed

Legally speaking, elashtar is right. Bitar has no right to accuse a minister.
If your understanding of legal issues is similar to your vaccine logic, mseebeh :/
is it a pizza thing you select the toppings according the to color of your underware ?

lakan lasho fi judge to investigate and implicate ?? : )

Bitar would be doing check mate, if the he ( judge) tomorrow asks all the involved for interrogations including those who did not name, since the nitrate landed in the port untill the exploison. by that he would undercut the duo retaliation : ) but even if he does that, they (duo) will use exuse that the judge has no power over MP's or ministers etc..
