War is literally over in big parts in Syria and the major cities where the majority of refugees come from, yet millions of them are still ya jabal ma yhizzak ree7, in Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan, laz2a. What gives?
Other than enjoying the parasitizing mode that comes with a refugee status, what makes a folk prefer to keep living in tents, in misery, hundreds of miles away from home, over going back to their own land and own homes?
Take our Lebanese shia civilians for example. During the 2006 war, they fled their southern lands in hundred thousands, many to Syria. The minute they heard the Israeli airbombing stopped, dawwaro w rej3o harwale, while the ink of the ceasefire agreement had not dried yet.
How come.
What we should lobby and work for, is for the sudden and brutal cut of all UN aids to these people, with the exception for obvious humanitarian cases like those in need for acute medicare and such. The rest will need a helpful dafshe in the right direction.
