Jetat al 3alam caused by the criminal govt you support, and the psychopaths criminal leaders smiling on tv the same day.
We will uproot all this crap. You are done.
jetat el 3alam are caused by the decadence that you and many others are exhibiting, regardless of political allegiances. that ammonium nitrate file passed on almost all categories of people in Lebanon, from army leaders to ministers to judges down to three syrian welders, and not a single one of them did their job correctly, and had their been one good person who acted correctly, this disaster could have been averted. a striking resemblance to the sadom and gammora story in the bible, "if you can find 5 good people in this city, it will be spared the destruction that awaits it". this destruction is the normal outcome of decadence and evil.

    zero critical thinking
    zero ethics
zero ability to distinguish between right and wrong.
zero ability to distinguish between the innocent and the guilty
you go around carrying empty slogans while in reality all the above makes you several times worse than the current political class.
it is not only about politics, the above makes you and many others nothing but a terrible people.

and you are very mistaken by thinking this is about governments and politics, though it is a normal and expected cardinal error given one's inability to think, analyze and act correctly. this is about eroded standards on all levels, people without values and without intellect will never be able to live in peace or in harmony, and without addressing that disasters will keep striking, and will take many shapes and forms.

now add to it that you are a little tool being used for a specific purpose, whoever is running this silly show might very well succeed, but only when you are thrown away you will realize your impotence, unless of course, you find yourself at home between birri, jumblaft and ja3ja3; for even if you will manage to deliver FPM a blow, you will be doomed to live in the shadow of the aforementioned untouchable entities. you will then find yourself facing people who will not hesitate to off you instead of a president who still gives his instructions to the army not to harm any of the protesters. Maybe FPM and the president should take a step back to let you experience that reality for a bit.

at any rate, to you and to all others who are reading, the one remedy to all our problems and all our disasters is to redevelop some standards, some values, and learn how to think and act properly; for corruption now nests in the hearts and the minds of our people, and there is no magic wand to cure that.

nothing can be said or done to bring back loved ones. i hope their families will be able to find some solace and assurance in their lifetime that such disasters will never happen again in Lebanon, though i doubt we can ever get there, but try we must. if something of this scale and magnitude fails to set thing straight then nothing ever will. heads must role.

good to see you and your loved ones made it through, hamdella 3al saleme.

I was born and grew up in one of the affected neighborhoods. We have lost some distant family members in the blast and it was a tipping point also for many of us.

I was a FPM militant back in the days and stopped getting involved after few disappointments.

But right now, this is enough, I am back active with one goal to uproot these psychopaths. FM, HA, amal, LF, PSP, FPM...

They want to stall, now they are talking about toppling the government, then Tamam salam will come and then what, each will appoint few ministers and those will come up with a plan for the economy wasting another 6 months. LF, PSP, Kataeb and future know what they are doing with wasting time. The longer times is wasted the longer their corruption files stay closed

@dyyyy If, as you say, the authorities, particularly Aoun and Bassil, are oppressing the "revolution" I'd like to see evidence to such oppression. What I've noticed is that the revolutionaries are usually arrested, and almost immediately released, for minor public disturbances and disruptions, which is on par with procedures in all western countries. When you claim oppression, you have to prove that your ability to freely express yourself and navigate life are hindered consistently by an unjust system. That is not what is happening with the fawra. You can also provide it in the thread linked here or create a new one to not derail this thread topic.

Shit, I thought actually understanding history and politics were a prerequisite for being an "influencer", turns out I'm "living 3a amjed el madeh". Anyway, FAWRA FAWRA FAWRA

Thanks for the info, but it still hasn't stopped people from expressing their free speech rights, nor has it stopped many of them from wrecking parts of Beirut, despite the actions of Berri's thugs. My challenge to you is a bit of a trap, admittedly, because I do not believe that the Lebanese state has the capacity to conduct "oppression" at a large scale due to exactly what you see in the pictures - each leader uses certain elements of the state to undertake thuggish actions with impunity. The difference is that the army and ISF can't and haven't conducted massive "oppression" because of the delicate political and social/sectarian balances they have to consider. For example, does the state have the capacity to conduct mass operations to chill speech? Has that happened? Does it (nay, can it) prevent organizing, a la what the state did to Aounists between 1990 and 2005? Does it prevent the formation of political parties? These are hallmarks of the "qam3 el boliceh" that don't exist in Lebanon, thankfully.

Gold - needless to say they are directly lead and driven, knowingly or unknowingly, by that same political class.

What about mukhabarat jaysh detaining protesters and torturing them?
