@Patriot, your much-loved idol Ghassan Germanos just finished enthusiastically confirming on Clubhouse that Berri's thugs were present from the first hour of the October 17 protests, and were in fact leading and coordinating the demonstrators. He then went on to confirm that Geagea's Forces and Kataeb (and others) took afterwards. He said, and I paraphrase very lightly here, that most of the "thawra" was politically targeted towards one side.

Just letting you know.

What you usually miss, especially jame3et el orange, is that no matter who was in the streets in addition to the ordinary people, that does not deny the reality of the problem. The demonstration in the streets is not the cause but the result.
Even if no one went to the streets, the situation would not have changed, probably it would have taken few more months, but the result is unavoidable because the country is bankrupt/robbed.
You knew that long before you have reached the presidency, do you remember لبنان مسروق مش مكسور ?
While the diagnostic was correct, the treatment did not exist, instead, you made deals to reach the presidency and extended for Salameh...
In any company when you have such CEO, he will be removed asap, but unfortunately, you stick to the old man...
You live in Boston, you don't care, but I wonder those who live in Lebanon why do they still follow any politician at all

This is irrespective of the collapsing state of the country.

The October 17 movement was orchestrated by the corrupt political class. How can we change the corrupt establishment if we are doing its bidding? Also, this very simple fact makes most cheap rhetoric being perpetuated ("el 3alam sa22atetkon bel shere3", "el 3alam badda intikhabet niyebiyye moubkira", ects.) completely void. People are furious, and rightly so. However, the reality is that they were used by the mafia state, and this should have huge bearing on how to proceed onwards.

Wait... Boston?! Who told you I live in Boston? I live in Lebanon, and always have!

this guy is brilliant, I hope he runs for elections and in Maten so I can vote for him.
Of course, there is always the risk of switching as others did.
