Agree but the LCP is another extreme militia. We need modern reformists.

MMFD is fine with me. People like Charbel Nahhas is really good. they have their leftists idea but if the country is good, i have work, 24 hour electricity and it is achievable on their watch then good.

the main things are that the FM and Amal are getting placed in the bin by these groups. its just a matter of time.

The LCP was a dominant force in the 70s in the South and the Bekaa before Amal and HAs started killing them. To start of as you said there needs an MP in the south and the bekaa speaking their language. they need to break their stronghold. last elections jebo the whole 27 MPs.

There should be good monitoring (hopefully serious international monitors) for elections... last elections was a mazra3a in south / bekaa where boxes were found on the streets and tampered with - and they'll definitely get this 1 MP.
Watch the fight over the interior ministry, lets hope there isn't another Nohad Mashnouk type of minister in the next government. That's critical.

These groups all over Lebanon should get 5-10 MPs. I can already see Charbel Nahhas in Beirut, Hannah Gharib in Akkar, Anwar Yassine in the South, some 1-2 faces in Bekaa and the North as historically El Mina kameina was a LCP stronghold.

I'd take the LCP over HA/Amal any day, any time, anywhere. The chance of LCP/MMFD types of parties in making a breakthrough in the shi3ite community is strong for two main reasons: they're secular (appealing to the secular shi3ites that aren't finding someone who represents them) AND they're actually ideologically anti-Israel.... fa ma 3am ye2daro ykhawnouwon - which is the usual tactic of moumena3a against any opposition. I will give mmfd the benefit of the doubt.

But there is a reason why voters and fighters switched from the LCP to HA and Amal overnight. And no it's not just the anti israel ideology

No One switched to ha Amal . Some individuals and u can count them on Hand tunrned because of economic necessity or married with Amal hizbala women.
A true ideological communist Will never ever turn Amal hizbala . There Is a huge ideological gap and set of values.

Unless he Is benefitting from the shia package ( mut3a or wazife bel dawle or fresh dollar )

Most of communist left Lebanon in the 80 and 90 's After the persecution period

Most of lcp militant now are young and post civil war generation and have nothing to do with the lcp war period. Those people are politically and socially motivated to change .

What they got from HA and Amal was well deserved. Karma is a *****.

Yes the voters switched, LCP can't even get one MP.

News are circulating that hizbulah indirectly supported the new naqib, and the old norm has been mudewara between Sunnis and christians.
Any truth to that?

That has been the norm, and FM used that to yjaysho ta2ifiyyan that the Naqib should be Sunni Beiruti (they have been calling all sunni beiruti engineers in the last days using that rhetoric) and not southerner Shi3i... and the propaganda was that 3aref yassine is HA's candidate (which is wrong, he is openly against HA politically).
So our victory is doubled... an anti-HA shi3ite won, and we broke a disgusting ta2ifiyye norm.

they had 2 candidates ouani and sukkarieh ouani was mostly FM's candidate, sukkarieh was supported by some of the other parties, after the last elections where the parties all allied barely got 30% of the votes, nobody showed official support for a candidate because the numbers in the results were already predictable but from unofficial data, and people we know, they were all against Aref Yassine

what i heard is the captain is always sunni. for the first time the christians formed a majority in the engineers. you can see the numbers the christian numbers were more than the captain himself. but yes he is anti HA to the bone and part of the LCP.
