This is not a live updates thread but more of what do you want and what are you protesting for?

As we stand today our economy is fragile as well as our whole country and we are sick of the governing bodies, faces and their corruption.

Lets say they leave how do you see the next steps?
how to save the country?
how do you solve the refugees issue? the liquidity issue?

Who do you want to replace the current political class if the quit tomorrow? all of them (fpm, lf, psp, hariri, ha, amal,...)
Please lets hear solutions a thought of scenarios and realist ones for our country!
No whataboutism and no all but my favorite politician as this is not the scenario.

    1) Government resigns
    2) Speaker resigns
    3) New elections with 15 proportional districts no preferential.

But before all these some reforms done prior to the people going out.

stolen money wont be returned, the ppl who stole it are envoys of foreign powers with their own militias

the best we can hope for is that they STOP stealing further

    the rest are good points

but i will add the following, we need to boost the economy, not just reduce waste

to boost the economy we must make valid laws and facilities for startups and big companies alike

when reforms are done each sect and each district will feel good and safe and secure there is no point of federalism.

    Anything but chaos.
historically speaking, we lebanese are not future planners

no action ewe make with forethought about what will happen

instead we act on emotions, usually grudges and geocentrism

this is a perfect recipe for chaos (in 1975, 2005 and now)

not a single politicians gave a damn about getting us to where we are today

and not a single protester now or previously gives or gave a damn about the economy crashing

    we are an emotional ppl

all makeup and cars and very little substance when it comes to building the future

has to be returned and can be returned are 2 different things

it is always good to be realistic when speaking

the ppl who stole the money are untouchable

    this is the reality

    My ideal scenario:
No elections because that risks a return of the evil parties. We simply put Hassan Ollaik and Thebian as dictators and Paula Yaacoubian as mutasarref.

    Cafe leftists take over.

All their historical psychological complexes finally released.

They start butchering christians while we cheer for them.

Then islamists take over and we join the umma.

I am wondering if there is a snap elections tomorrow im sure the people protesting will go back to their default votes.

The protestors to get unified behind a single party with clear objectives and demands.

Saying no just for the sake of saying no is very dangerous.

i suggest even going to a 60 MP Parliament. 15 districts each district 4 MPs more than enough. no sect allotment.
