Agree with everything you said except this part. I don't see it as an advantage, to the contrary. KAn3an proved to be at best incompetent and influenceable, or worse, corrupt and ready to torpedo the right reform plans to please the banks and the corrupt mafia.
Sad to say this but the only politician I can trust at this moment to put Lebanon's interest first is ... a Frenchman.
He did .. and that was agreed on between berri and Bassil.

Let's give it a little twist.

Amal/HA gets the MoF, a Wazni duplicate. What expectations are ok to have in such a situation?

Which change is going to take place when this happens? What projects can we look forward to?

The impatience, hastiness, occasional irrational outbursts and mood swings of the FPMers and their lack of foresight will see them revert all the gains we have collectively fought for since 2005, and we would have a Saniora Season 2 all over again, if care isn't taken. Imagine the majority in parliament acting as opposition. And then they will understand what is the meaning and importance of Sabr w Baseera.

Oh and my opinion on Nabih Berri. He is for the shiites and for Lebanon, what Samir Geagea is for the Lebanese Christians.

No one should be supporting him and his claims. FPM and HA should have worked on trying to neutralize him or at least, seized the french opportunity to get rid of him, even at the price of providing him with some kind of a "honourable" exit. This is a very big mistake not to ditch him.
HA have knowledge of too many bad experiences of Lebanese Shias with the French. for example I can cite the judge Isabelle Prévost-Desprez that condemned and jailed pro HA Shias and used to deliver to the press anti-HA propaganda while it is not her work as a Judge, Another case, some Shias were kidnapped, mistreated, beaten and limit tortured in Paris to force them to be recruited against HA. Beside that the mysterious death in Grenoble of a Shi3i student who was studying PhD in nuclear physics. There are also other cases that HA was informed about from many Shias mistreated in France. It is not a secret that in almost every state institution in France, including the Police, showing zeal in favor of Israel is a good mean to progress in one's carrier.

Beside that, the Absolute Zero transparency way that Adib has chosen to form his government is not appealing to trust the French initiative in its intention to really save the situation in Lebanon.

Anyway, if the French initiative is meant to help Lebanon and fight corruption, the French can always help Lebanon by freezing in France (and may be also in whole Europe) all the (stolen) money transferred from Lebanon at least during the last two years and that they are evaluated to around 25 billion USD (to France and elsewhere) and to pursue and confiscate all properties of Lebanese bankers and politicians.

Only a fool would trust FPM. They are opportunists with no real ideology.

And of course above all, not to forget the mistreatment of our Lebanese compatriot Georges Abdallah.

You need to know you are just a part of a minority, like others. You cant rule alone. You cant monopolize power in a divided country, except through war. You are free to be fair weather friends.

The moment Adib forms his March 14 govt, Aoun's removal would be their next target. At best, they will treat him like they treated Lahood. You have a majority with your allies. You have the right and power to rule. Grow a pair and stand firm.
FPM does not want to rule alone and knows that very well, which is why everyone voted on every single one of the plans it tried to implement. The absolute minimum it can expect from its coalition is neutrality toward projects that help ALL constituents, insa support that's too much to ask for. Instead, the coalition led by Amal scuttled every single project and to top it all blamed them for it. Tefe7 el keyl, especially with the corrupt tampering of the audit contract by Wazni. After all this, how do you think the average FPMer views the insistence on the MoF by Berri? I am sure the average FPMer reeling under the economic condition is going to applaud FPM for forming a government with Berri. All he sees is minister Patek Phillippe wasting north of $16B that he has to foot the bill for from his own savings. Go tell him he has to think strategically now, I am sure he's all ears. You're seeing it unfold in front of your own eyes on this very forum.

Where in the Constitution does it say it must be Shia?
Plus, where in the Constitutiom does it say that the MoF have the right to veto and defy the Council of Ministers? His signature is merely administrative.

Stop you arrogance. Be Lebanese

Rafidi has been smoking the really strong stuff from Baalbak - in fact he probably grows it as his family business. His concept of reality is scewed as he lives in a fantasy world.
