...And suddenly Bahaa is endorsing 17 October so called revolution, with the slogan killoun ye3neh killoun!Time to ask who was funding and who started it to kick out Saad. If bahaa wants them all out, then who will name him for PM. Let him run for elections, ykassir rasso howi w khayyo and later we speak. So far we have a gvt, i doubt that Diab will step down for bahaa!
I agree with you 100%
It shows they really see the country as a toy they and their foreign masters can play with and impose rulers on without considering the fact that we have a parliamentary structure and some form of democratic system in place.
There is a majority in parliament and the Future Movement headed by his brother isnt part of that majority. His brother was first nominated for political and sectarian considerations and his brother was voted for in parliamentary election and got most Sunni votes. His brother chose to step aside because he placed a condition. He said he wont form a govt unless he is the sole decision maker in its formation. In a government based on sectarian quotas, and in a country where he only represents Sunni voted, granting him that wish was equal to igniting a civil war. It was a measure that could have abolished the Taef accord and the power sharing of cabinet seats based on sectatuan quotas. The parliamentary majority refused to accept his condition and he apologized that he cant form a new govt. We now have a clean and fresh face not linked to any family politics and corrupt dynasties. We cant afford in this critical time to disrupt the govt of Diab and use another 6 months to form a new govt. because all of a sudden Mr Bahaa wants to assume his role in family politics and to make the PM office in Lebanon look like a CEO position in one of the Hariri owned companies. Going months before forming a new govt at this point would be suicidal for the country and the weak economy.
If Bahaa wants to join politics, he should contest for parliament in 2022. It is just a year and half away. Let him start now to spray money and impact positively on the lives of Sunnis and Lebanese generally. In other words, let him start his campaign now. He can even establish a new party, whether with a sectarian image or a cross sectarian movement. If he wins, then he can be considered worthy of becoming a PM.
Otherwise, trying to hijack power with the kellon ya3neh kellon slogan wont make him become anything but an opportunistic foreign agent. Based on the slogan itself, his family is among the "kellon ya3neh kellon". Directly or indirectly, he is a beneficiary of corruption and the sick state of the Lebanese economy.
