The protests and the so called revolution made things worse. Days of shutdown didn't help one bit. And some idiots still wanted to continue protesting to further paralyze the country and its ailing economy.
you're like someone who shot a guy then blamed the traffic for his death because the ambulance couldn't get to the hospital on time

wow this is the last thread I'd imagine would turn political 😆.

But yes it's really sad news :(
Everything is political in Lebanon. Literally everything. If it is not direct politics it is owned by politicians, and if it is owned by a business person he becomes a politician, and if all else fails it goes to cronies, or otherwise it is shared through corruption :)

    damn

    that sucks

so tv didnt kill the radio star

    lebanon did
it's "video" killed the radio star, small correction. Except it did not really kill it. The internet killed it more than video, but local FM stations are still doing fine in many markets.

You should be happy. Radio One was spreading Imperialist culture.
I'm liberal in my personal life. I don't have a problem with Western culture, music, food, art...as long as its not religious and it is secular, and as long as it is not political/religious domination and enslavement. One can still be Muslim and liberal. No contradiction in there.

Talk shows like the morning shows need to address local issues and connect to listeners instead in Lebanon they go out and bring a foreign presenter, play foreign music talk about the kardashians and Kylie Jenner Yeah well there is an app for that...

This station has been suffering financially for many years. Bad management, wrong business decisions, and infighting between the Kaspar brothers is what closed it down, not the current situation.
