Any ideas?

For example, lets say digitally. What do you think FPM can do to improve its image?

They should produce short informative videos that explain FPM's stance on every issue along with how other parties reacted to them and then circulate them on all social media platforms.

before worrying about what can be done digitally, the people in leadership positions inside FPM should stop playing beit byout and be trained - yes trained, regardless of their age and status - to deliver their message before going out on the media. there are less than 10 main topics to talk about, and they should deliver their previously prepared messages very smartly.

more importantly, they should do some actual work instead of sticking to salons talks, this is not a book club. this is not acceptable, they cannot invoke much change with such a super traditional team (with few exceptions). elected parliament members and ministers alike should have digital devices attached to their butts that zap them with high voltage whenever they sit down for too long.

now what can be done digitally? it is not about recreating the image or rebranding the party. it is more about communication and visibility. a common gateway that allows the people communicate with elected representatives and FPM leaderships, where they clearly showcase what they are working on and what they are achieving, on a platform that is accessible to every citizen, that is how they improve their image and again this should not be a kell meen yefta7 3ala zaw2o approach, this should be a common platform where we, the people, can see what every takattol minister and deputy are working on, what they have accomplished and so on.

in addition, there should be a common communication platform, where citizens can get in touch with the elected deputies and communicate issues to them, along with a dedicated corruption complaints section that follows up on reports raised by the citizens.

and these goes two ways, the elected representatives can also communicate what they want from the citizens.

now the other digital option would be photoshop.

but hey, who needs all that? loca beach on OTV should suffice; overall they have quite a wonderful program sets that deliver quite an interesting image of the party; and the image it broadcasts is as follows, it says we are just like the ba3th party but in a very tropical atmosphere.

I agree, they must do concrete things, things that people can see and feel...
While speeches on corruption fighting without any action makes them incredible...

But let me clear about one thing, as long as you have leadership busy securing its position both internally and externally and see how he might become the next president, all the focus and energy will be channeled elsewhere...

I wish for FPM to actually start with the new gov attacking corruption and placing people in court due to corruption files. Whoever they are christian, muslim or druze.

I also wish for FPM to have national talk not just for christians. We have recovered our rights it is time to talk nationally now.

FPM should endorse a federal system or try to implement decentralization.

It starts by calling people to boycott some channels like MTV, LBC,NBN spreading lies against us. I dont understand why Bassil, Elie Bou Saab or Alain Aoun accepted to appear on a programs like Sar el Wa2t designated just to attack Bassil & FPM & President. If 50 % of christians shut down those crappy tv stations, they might start improving their programs.

    Where do we start:
1- fully agree with @Dark Angel:”work work work” and get trained on how to communicate your message
2- ALIGN your tricking message! And ma tenshro ghassil on public
3- walk the talk and communicate it: for example they were all about splitting MPs and minister roles, stick with it.
4- make smart appointments: FPM’s image is attacked day and night because of the family members taking positions of leadership, bassil being appointed etc... they keep arguing inno no it’s not true, then there is talk of making Mireille Aoun a minister! If this is wrong go deny it categorically, if it is, it WILL tarnish their image because fi gheir tansa bil jaish...
5- show accountability: they are firing people left right and center for having a different opinion, I have yet to see them take people out of certain positions where they fail! There should be a yearly session to evaluate performance and make corrections, to policies, to behaviours, to who is appointed what/where

    Just to confirm
    1) you’re not asking about changing political positions, right?
    2) your objective is to improve image in the view of getting “more votes”, right?

Question for me is what drives voting in Lebanon (or political contribution / engagement at least). If you think people vote based on local perspective / issues then grass root movements should be favored. If it is all about national themes, then it should be that.
Either way, they should work more, be more humble and especially more effective in their communication.
Recall summer of 2015? The “they stole our argument” episode? Makes them look petty. Then they launched various don quichottesk battles that further confused the voters.
I mean, the LF should be nowhere from a voter attractiveness perspective, maybe 10% max out of becharre given all their well documented crimes (gl Kenaan, ghaith khoury, Dany Chamoun, etc.) and yet...
If you are to ask me today what is FPM’s concrete platform, what are their priorities, it is hard for me to know.
And look, it is not easy. Aoun’s message for the start went against the existing Lebanese model and was certain to meet resistance from all entrenched power base. But it was met with incredible popular support back in 1989 (which prompted the LF to side with the Syrians and back stab him). But if we decide to be the ones fighting for the little one, and know no one will support us, we need to have a clear strategy and an effective communication. I don’t see either

You can't clean up an image when your entire cadre is constituted of thieves. When your president is naturalizing criminals for money, you know that when you plug one hole, there will be another hole opening up soon enough.

It's like asking how to clean Donald Trump's image as a racist sexist pig. He'll open his mouth, and all is lost again.

Just pray that Michel Aoun dies soon, FPM goes into a tailspin, and we never hear from them again.

    There... solved.

There are plenty of basic implementations that FPM should do in order to improve its image and work at the same time.

    1. Lead by example: if other parties aren't abiding by a principle that should be in place (MPs not being Ministers, Iqta3 siyese/family business...) then lead by example and be the first to implement it on yourselves.
    2. Sticking to principles: don't change your positions/ally with others based on pure beneficial considerations. You can obviously work with everyone on common issues you share.
    3. Try to reach out for different communities in Lebanon. Don't limit yourselves to the 'christian' speech.
    4. Following the previous point, try as hard as you possibly can to have representatives in the parliament/government from these different communities.
    5. Freedom of speech is probably one of the most important issues, protect everyone's right to express themselves in real life or social media. As long as an opinion is not inciting violence, it should not be persecuted.
    6. Accountability and transparency of its representatives.
    7. Adopt a national, civil and secular speech.

I think serious improvement maybe be noticed if FPM starts with reviewing its online communication strategy and message content.
In the current situation what is extremely problematic is FPM focus on trivial conflict and political scoring in relation to its rivals than being issue and public oriented. No one knows what are the issues they are working on, or what are their plans and achievements, but we all know who they hate.

The big problem of FPM is that is it oversold itself...Just like a product that promised wonders but when people rushed and bought it, the results were poor to say the least... This created an exaggerated sens of frustration, because the results are nothing to be compared to the expectations...
