What are you talking about ya Hameed ? What radar ? Our threat is insurgents and terrorists ... They dont have Radars nor optical sights, they have shilkas and shoulder-fired misseles
many Syrian choppers were downed by OSA Radar SAM Systems, those insurgents were in the first days of he Syrian conflict, many good and capable soldiers fled the army too, they have capability of operating Soviet Systems, others from Lybia who also know how to operate them.

Hawker Hunters have better chance of Survival if equipped with the systems of the tractor ..... anything piston engine doesn't work anymore.

Those ATGM they have can get this tractor, the Aerodynamic design of this aircraft will cause 90% of its death

reply your answer but let's end it.

We have a card in warplanes forLAF we can play. As I see that Hawker Hunter can still useful in this situation, we have to knock the door of abou zaby, they want to rid from their hawker Hunter. We can have at least the spare parts for our lebanese airplanes and the munition too. We can have the surplus of guns to put them on smaller planes. We can adapt more our helicopters before having any non useful aid cheap aid from our bourreau.

Hawker Hunters are a big danger on our pilots.

the AT-802U was built to be operated from unimproved airfields, dirt roads, and even farm fields and to be maintained from the back of a truck. As such, it is able to provide direct support to ground troops operating close to the frontline, and can fly in extreme heat and dust conditions.

The aircraft’s payload capability and the space conferred by the former ‘hopper’ provide massive fuel capacity, which could be further expanded through the use of drop tanks on wing/fuselage hard points. Even without external fuel, the AT-802U can remain on station for up to ten hours, long after other fighters or ground attack aircraft would have had to return to base or go to the tanker.

good that what I mean at the end if we can adapt and refurbish what we have than to wait the cheap aid of others. We can create something decent to our existing situation meanwhile.
    Thank you for the information

An aerial maneuver held in Hamat Air Force Base today October 10, 2013 showed for the first time a locally converted SA/IAR 330SM Puma into a Helicopter Gunship using components from the former LAF Hawker Hunter jets like the ADEN 30mm cannon and the SNEB rocket launcher:

I already seen them whixh is very good accomplishment. But we need something that we ave to adapt more to our situation faster and easier manœuvrable like that. Not to be dependant 100% from others to take the decision to attack or to defend.

Keep good things going better and perfectly.

The super tucano is way better than the hawker hunter in our situation. Regardless if it's a turboprop or not. It's a new aircraft with new avionics, weapons systems and it has a lower stall speed which means it can fly at lower speed than the hunter (which is an asset in all strike aircraft) and pinpoint the targets better.

I wouldn't mind however having some spare parts from jordan, abudhabi etc. for our hunters and have a few airworthy. they could do some air support until the tucanos/airtractors/ whatever arrives (if ever)
