The age of artificial intelligence beckons, from our daily lives to military matters, more and more things are being left to be handled by self teaching algorithms or as we know them, AI.
From Uber, to netflix, to spotify, to airbnb, to facebook, tesla.. each one of these names has used, is using, AI to get one step ahead of the competition and become the dominant player.

And this is all great, because these advances in AI are, and will keep making our lives, that little bit easier and better because they are limited, for now, to commercial services, web platforms, industrial processes.. Are are bound to ultimately replace many of the tedious jobs we have today by more creative ones.

But many leading AI experts are warning of one aspect of AI that for now has been limited to sci-fi, which is autonomous killing machines.

also a nice article about the issue:
Killer robots must be banned but 'window to act is closing fast', AI expert warns | The Independent

This thread isnt just about killer machines, its about AI discussion in general, and how do you think AI is impacting your life today, and what you are willing to do tomorrow if they announce that a machine will replace you at your job :)

We are not talking about AI completely replacing humanity, but an AI augmented form of life.

One more reason to hate amazon and their asshole of a ceo:

As much as i like AI and the doors its going to be opening, I cant but feel shocked by such practices and by actual engineers who would write such unethical code.

It also makes wonder if a us company is doing this, what are chinese workers going through/will go through once chinese companies start putting together such programs.

Most R&D is being spent now on AI.
This is the future and nothing will stop this trend. Within 5 years all home appliances will have AI. By 10 years all cars will have AI. All electronic products and electronic services will follow.
