The French Initiative [BREAKING: Hariri steps down from role as PM-designate]

Feeding who? Stop kidding yourself habibi. This might have been the case in the 60s I don’t know. But today cash flows are mostly coming in from GCC and Africa (with a Sunnite/Shia majority)
Money is by far in Christian hands. Only the METN paid most of the taxes in the overall country.
Christians are massively in GCC and Africa. Go there and see who has senior roles and money. Keep lying to yourself

Aoun has good intentions but being blocked on everything. We all believed Aoun when he sold us the “living together” but he failed. He should have pushed for a federalism or partition. Living together means feeding you..something we stopped a year ago. Take whatever left, take the gold - we have no problem and we are rebuilding ourselves but without you now. This is the by you have such a big disparity between regions.

since it’s creation, our brothers always hated us
i agree on federalism/partition but oh boy.... you can't actually believe that Aoun has good intentions, right? it's quite obvious he is there to enrich himself and his family. he has the presidency, the parliament, and the only relevant military force in the country backing him... he has had the energy portfolio since 2006. what has he done? is hariri that powerful between being a permanent temporary designate who spends his free time getting slapped around by saudi princes, he also has time to block everything Aoun does? why and how did Aoun become president then?

and don't say berri this and berri that, berri is your ally. same for hezb.

Dude for Christ's sake stop lying to yourself. You're living in the world slogans, it's time to live in the real world pal.

Michel Aoun is at best an incompetent fool, at worst a power-hungry crook.

The average salary of a Lebanese is now below 40$.

In 2022, as real estate prices continue to stumble, it will take just few dozen million dollars from KSA and Iran to buy-up most militarily strategic Christian lands in Lebanon and then it's game over.

As Michel Aoun was accumulating power from 2016-2019, ministers, mps, judges, appointments everywhere and telling you this is for you, the average Lebanese Christian, the real power: land ownership, private economic power and demographics were being sapped out and neutralized from Christians.

It's comforting to lie to oneself, bas mish la hal daraje.

Funny how you pin it on Aoun… this was always going to happen with the Money siphoning machine installed post Taef.

Edit: this is happening to everyone, not just Christians… this sectarian speech is sickening

I did not pin it on Aoun, I'm pinning on him (and other Christian leaders) that they're fighting for the little man by accumulating seats when the real power lies somewhere. Now that the ship has sunk, it has submerged everything including the silly "Christian rights" slogan that they championed.

Either they're completely naive or totally wicked. I'm not sure which is worse.

Yes but Iran and KSA can pump few millions and keep Sunnis and Shias afloat. Who will do that for the Christians? That's a reality whether we liked it or not.

But why this car specifically? Doesn't seem more "well off" than many of the other cars passing by.

PS Side note, this reminds me of a story in 1992. Driving back with a couple of friends from Ba3lbeck (visiting the Jupiter Temple), we were stopped at a Syrian checkpoint and they wanted money... To which my reaction was "you stop a 1985 Renault to extort money? Why not all these Mercedes and BMW?"

Because only pansies would drive such a lame vehicle, making the extortion process smooth and easy.

Let the others do 1% of what Aoun did for Christians than talk

Without Aoun, you would still begging for a seat from Berri Hariri Joumblat

The power sharing is balancing back to Christians

As for the economic status, the Taef thugs are still entrenched corrupt, cartels sanadik

You won't be able to go after them unless you gain political power.... and this is exactly what FPM is doing

Certainly, when it comes to wealth, it’s in the hands of the Christian community. However, the industries that are owned by the Christians are not occupied by them. They don’t do the actual “work.”

Similarly, the white community may own most of America, but it’s the Mexicans who are doing the dirty work.

There are two sides to the equation!

Man a simple math exercise for you, go now to your bedroom, open the drawer where you put your pencils and pens, pick up a pen. Take also an A4 sheet. Pick up also a light beer from your fridge and Go to you your living room ; sit on your couch, and with the pen draw a vertical line on the A4 sheet, so now you have 2 columns.

On the left column write the number of Christians that left Lebanon during Aoun’s first Era in 1989-1990 and during Aoun’s second Era in 2019-2020, write also the number of Christians that came back to Lebanon during those eras.

In the right column write how many Christians left the country when Hariri (dad and son) were prime ministers and how many Christians came back during those eras. Then compare the numbers on the two columns and stop saying nonsense.

You are not gonna keep one single Christian in this country, Each time u r in power it turns out to be the biggest Christian vaccum cleaner in Lebanese history, and then u dare talking about christian’s Presence in Lebanon and right of the Christian?

Wanna bet and see how
Many Christians will come back to Lebanon when a new president will be elected and a new era will start in a year from now ?
So Hariri was a great gift for the Lebanese economy looooooooool
The thieves could not have hoped in their wildest dreams for victims like that 🤣

You realize that you're talking about going after political leaders of other sects right? This will never happen in a country like Lebanon this is pure bull FPM propaganda. Lebnen balad mou7asasa.

My point is that accumulating MPs and Ministers is hollow power if done alone. Now that the country is totally bankrupt what's the worth of the 29 MPs? Zero.

Like the Lebanese who took pride in buying an expensive car by taking out high interest loans, what happened to them now? They're f-cked in the arsehole and why? Because loans are hollow. You do not own that money, it is not income.

Aoun w ghayro, did not build an infrastructure, on the contrary. 5-6 years from now, all of these parties will be defunct just like the Kataeb and Ahrar.

I am curious what are those numbers? there is no official census but if they exist (i think the lebanese are very talented in "teshbi2" numbers that is why we ended up here) i want to see them.
