The General Thread - Discuss Your Random Political and Non-Political Content Here

As has become obvious from the October 17 thread veering off-topic faster than it takes Walid Joumblatt to do a political U-turn, Oroom might be in need of a general thread where random discussions that are not constrained to a particular topic can take place. Please use this thread if you want to discuss something but are not sure under which thread it falls. If you think your content deserves more meaningful discussion, please start it's own thread.

Otherwise, enjoy!

Btestehalo. Where is HA your allie with the most power to pressure.
You should have gave them the ultimatum since day one, move forward with the reforms or divorce. You got no balls, berri rabbekoun. Cigar cigar.
That's your (in my opinion, very narrow-minded) opinion. The FPM did plenty and continues to do plenty.

Still, even if you do believe this is the case and the FPM "got no balls", doesn't what you're saying make every person primarily attacking the FPM while sparing people like Berri severely misguided?

Weak. No balls. This is after the last parliamentary elections. Leave it to the MPs to decide?

Free Patriotic Movement chief MP Gebran Bassil announced Tuesday after the bloc’s weekly meeting that it is up to the bloc members to cast a blanc ballot or vote for Speaker Nabih Berri’s reelection during Wednesday’s election session of the news speaker .

“We have decided to allow the members of our parliamentary bloc to vote in the way they see appropriate – whether they choose to cast blank ballots or vote for Speaker Berri,” Bassil announced after the bloc’s weekly meeting.

Key word: parliamentary bloc.

The Strong Lebanon bloc is composed of more than just the FPM. It comprises/comprised of several parties and so-called independent figures, and not everyone sees eye to eye on every issue. Also, what is your point? You're just repeating yourself.

No one, and I mean it literally, has stood more in the face of the Berri criminal establishment than the FPM.

so what is the appropriate term for a homosexual person who is gender neutral?

What do you mean gender neutral? May be either pansexual or bisexual attraction wise. What they identify as becomes more complicated lol

You mean the bloc has pro Berri MPs?
And how about the previous elections? Who did the whole bloc vote for?

Elie Ferzli is an MP who is obviously pro-Berri. Others might find different (political) reasons to vote for Berri. Politics is not black and white as many people seem to think. The same applies for previous nominations. Different political climates demand different approaches. One must weigh the consequences of any action.

Voting for Berri alone is not evidence of support... Look at how the FPM has clashed with Berri very publicly and very violently on virtually every single issue since the Syrians left.
