it was considered for the selsleh but never for the budget.

What if the selsleh is not funded yet? Maybe, the government is waiting for the funds; when available, the resolution will be sent to Parliament under budget expenditure extension

قر مجلس الوزراء مشروع الموازنة العامة بعد الاخذ بمجموعة اصلاحات طالب فيها وزراء التيار الوطني الحرّ ومنها:

1- وضع سقف للاستدانة وحصره بالعجز المقدر للموازنة.

2- اخضاع الهبات والقروض التي يتم انفاقها من خلال الصناديق بوضعها تحت الرقابة المسبقة.

3- اعتماد الموازنات المدققة لدى القطاع المصرفي والتي تساهم بشكل فاعل بالحد من التهرب الضريبي وتسقط منطق الدفترين.

4- مطالبة بربط الاصلاحات بقرار ضمان الشيخوخة الذي اقر بالمجلس النيابي.

5- موضوع شركات الاموال والمصارف، لجهة الضريبة على الارباح مع حماية ذوي الدخل المحدود او الذين يملكون ودائع صغيرة لا ضرائب عليها.

6- مطالبة بقطع الحساب عن السنوات الـ11 الماضية وان يكون حاضراً مع قانون الموازنة كما ينص الدستور.

وهذه القوانين الاصلاحية هي من توصيات لجنة المال والموازنة في المجلس النيابي برئاسة النائب ابراهيم كنعان.

وسيعقد تكتل التغيير والاصلاح اجتماعاً عند الساعة الثامنة صباح اليوم قبل جلسة مجلس الوزراء لاعلان ما جرى في المجلس على صعيد اقرار الموازنة.

وقد وصف وزير بارز لـ«الديار» اجواء مجلس الوزراء بانها شهدت نقاشات ادت الى تعديلات بالمقترحات الضريبية لجهة زيادة الايرادات وتخفيض بعض الرسوم وكلنا نعلم ان الاوضاع في البلاد ضاغطة وما حصل في اقرار الموازنة امر مقبول ويمكن ان نؤسس على هذه الموازنة لتكون افضل في السنوات القادمة.

وعلم ان الرئيس سعد الحريري غادر الجلسة اكثر من مرة بسبب انزعاجه من النقاشات واعتراض العديد من الوزراء على مقترحاته لكنه عاد بعد اتصالات اجراها رئيس الجمهورية العماد ميشال عون.

The debt doubled since 2007, tu what was the debt before full Syrian occupation? It went from négligeable to 50Trillion Lebanese pounds in 2005...

The debt that we had in 2005 was 38.46 billion. In 2015 we have 70.32 billion debt. Over 32 billion in 10 years without anything being done to the country. The ministries that have the lion share of the budget are known. They are the energy and water, public works and telecommunications. EDL is taking big money from the government. It is approx 17% as a whole. It needs to be privatized. It has old not mantained infrastructure. This will continue to be the case until something is done about it and it is not about getting more Turks on our shores.

So, in order to fund the National Budget, the government is putting additional taxes that will mainly affect the private sector.

Here are a few mentioned in the article:

1. Increasing TVA from 10% to 11%,
   
2. Increasing the price of stamps on phone bills to 2500 LBP
   
3. Increasing the price of stamps on judicial records from 2,000 LBP to 4,000 LBP
   
4. Increasing the price of stamps on receipts from 100 LBP to 250 LBP
5. Doubling the fees of public notaries
   
6. Increasing taxes on cement production
   
7. Modifying taxes on income and revenues from 15% to 17%
   
8. Increasing taxes on alcohol
   
9. Adding a 1.5% tax on construction licenses
   
10. Enforcing taxes on passengers leaving the country, whether through land or sea or air

In fact, that last tax will also be proportional to your travel class. For anyone traveling more than 1250km to their final destination, a tax will be enforced as follows:

• 75,000 LBP for every passenger in economy class, (This is not correct according to Ibrahim Kannaan)
• 110,000 LBP for every passenger in business class,
• 150,000 LBP for every passenger in first class,
• 400,000 LBP for every passenger in a private plane.

They should tax religious institutions because they're the basis and provide the moral reasoning for all of the corruption that exists in Lebanon and which provides the impetus to needing to raise taxes so the government can balance budgets. Fight corruption and don't adopt regressive and frankly, desperate, taxation regimes to somehow address financial issues.

The increases of taxes and inflation etc is not just a a national issue but a global one!
In the same way all these garbage mountains we see all over Lebanon are a global issue rather than only internal issue!

Religious institutions? Schools and hospitals are already way unaffordable; how about with taxation?

Stop hiding behind religion as if it is the source of wrongdoings; that have been the argument of the 19th and 20th century .Blame the greed and the lust for power from human individuals; each should be accountable for their own.
