Min socialist baynetkon?
In addition to the criteria mentioned by Jo, a friend whom we truthfully thank for this space that proved more genuine, rich and engaging to the extent of being instrumental in the process of self-development in the life of each one of us. And it proved efficient for us at least, more than the other social media platforms, since most of them revolve around egotism, voyeurism & dual reality, one that is a polished online show off, and the other is suspended and unlived since they continuously seek to imitate and resemble. So, in addition to what he mentioned, I’d like to add the following.
Lebanese people are obsessed with politics, a fact that egregiously paved the way into them becoming one-track minded, intolerant, spending their times in sticking needles into the dolls representing their opponents.
But there is a light at the end of the long stairs when the electricity goes off, and that is the community forum.
The community forum is the land of no man, the deserted platform, the unknown bliss giver, and the true light of the heart.
So, whoever pledges to work hard to defeat the Lebanese natural laws by shifting the focus of the members off politics in its Lebanese maimed sense into the realm of experimentation, the one who can steal the lightning and plant the flower in the arid land, who can pick up the fog & make it a bracelet around the wrist of the mountain, who is ready to be a witness to the holiest moment between the lava and the sea, and absorb the wisdom of the revolution, and turn it into a stream of jewels in the world of poems, art, psychology, sociology, philosophy, nature and rich discussions that make the Lebanese again the ambassadors of light sailing into the world and… within!
The candidate, who will vow and promise that he will revive and transcend the community forum, will get my vote.
sadly barely a few people are interested in anything other than politics or religion.Thank you.
Couldnt agree more. Who ever pledges to revive the community forums will get my vote and support afterwards.

I admit to being a massive nerd when it to comes to languages, film, music and video games. Not as refined as poetry or classical art, but still something I would happily contribute to in the non-political threads. This is irrespective of the elections, of course. I'll likely add something about this in my campaign thread, anyway.Thank you.

Feel free to present a program, or your view on how you would handle moderation tasks here - if you wish to:I hereby present myself as a candidate.
What's the point of elections if the moderators fet7in 3a 7sebon? Who guarantees that they are following rules and regulations fairly with all the members?Greetings & salutations,
I didn't want to do this among all the bickering, hate & general unrest going on the forum, but it seems things will not rest any time soon.
So, here it goes, the Orange Room again is electing its moderators. Thank you for the old moderators and for the upcoming ones, I wish you very best of luck.
A quick reminder of the rules:
* 2 years ago we abolished the 2 groups system, candidates will be all in one group.
* Phase 1: The first 6 candidates will pass to phase 2
* Phase 2: The first 4 candidates will be the elected moderators.
Note: If we get 6 or fewer candidates, we will skip Phase 1 and do Phase 2 directly.
Note2: If we get 4 or fewer candidates, we will skip the whole elections process and chose the moderators ourselves.
I hope that this new system will encourage more members to run since they will have more chances of getting elected.
Timeline of events:

careful what you wish for, I might exercise "العمل بالمعروف والنهي عن المنّكر " as soon as I become a modI respect Emm Hammoudeh's opinion, allah ytawwil bi 3oumra. But for the world you're a mix of only these things
I'd still vote for you because I think you'd make a good Khalifator 2eza btetrasha7, promise only to use your arm crook when you sneeze some orcish mucus.
You complain to either @Jo or a supermod like @SeaAb or @ORMOD or @loubnaniTO if you think you are being unfairly treated. But gonna help you out here and tell you you're not! If any criticism is due is that all the mods have been far too lenient. What's the point of elections if the moderators fet7in 3a 7sebon?
