In order to become a registered member of The Orange Room, a user must first read, understand, and agree with all the terms of this AGREEMENT. By participating in the discussions, you agree to adhere to the forum's rules.

Opinions expressed on The Orange Room - by any member or staff - are those of their corresponding authors, and do not necessarily reflect those of the Orange Room.

The Orange Room is not responsible for the content of any post in the forums/threads.

The Orange Room Administration reserves the right to suspend or terminate the access of any participant to the forums at our sole discretion, at any time, and without a previous notification, if we feel it is in the interest of our community.

To help you gain the most from The Orange Room, please familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines below:

Forum Rules:

1-Personal Attacks/Insults

Any speech or inference, direct or indirect, that constitutes (i) a personal attack or insult against another individual or group, including swear words and derogatory language, (ii) offending discrimination against another individual or group based on, among others, race, nationality, religion, sect, gender, age, economic class, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, and familial status, is prohibited.

Profanity, vulgar and/or sexually explicit language is prohibited.

Same applies to User Names, avatars and media (photos, videos, etc). Accounts with inappropriate user names will be deleted.

All pictures/videos with graphic or adult content will be deleted.

2-Off topic/Trolls

Off-topic and short meaningless posts are not acceptable. Trolling is prohibited. Members identified as trolls will be warned, and eventually banned.

Discussions that diverge from the subject of the thread should be continued in a separate (new or existing) thread.

Personal one-on-one chat posts should be done by private messages to avoid monopolizing an existing (or new) public thread.

Trolling also includes targeting other members with useless/short posts, with repeated unfounded “Dislikes”, or other reporting tools only for the purpose of annoying them.

3-Personal Information

Posting personal information about Forum Members without their consent, or asking for personal information is completely prohibited.

Information that would be considered personal include, but are not limited to phone numbers, home addresses, names, birthdates, confidential medical information, marital status, and sexual orientation. If a member has to give out this information for any reason, he/she should do so privately via a private message.

It is highly recommended that members refrain from posting any of their own personal information in public threads.

In addition, a member should never give out his/her forum password to anyone, and he/she should not disclose server logins and/or passwords to anyone other than The Orange Room Staff for the sole purpose of either changing this information or requesting any kind of assistance with the management of his/her account. The Staff cannot be held responsible if a member discloses such information to anyone else.

4-Illegal activities

Using the Orange Room for illegal purposes, in support of illegal activities, or to encourage conduct that would constitute a criminal offense (as determined by Lebanese Law, unless where the Lebanese Law contradicts International Human Rights as per the UN's Human Rights Charter) is prohibited under all circumstances.

Calling for, encouraging, or supporting violence, terrorism, or any criminal activity is prohibited.

The Forum Administration reserves the right to edit and delete such posts, ban members, and cooperate with legal authorities and/or injured third parties in the investigation of any suspected crime or civil wrongdoing.

5-Advertising and spam

Unsolicited promotion of other websites or products is considered spam. Although there are times when a link to another site is necessary to help answer a question, The Orange Room Staff reserves the right to determine what is and what is not SPAM. What is SPAM?

6-Links & Articles in the Forum, Blogs and Social Groups

Posting Articles, Interviews or News from any other website or online newspaper without quoting the source is not allowed. Any post with no quote to the source will be deleted.

The moderation team reserves the right to delete any post quoting accounts taken from social medias like Twitter, Facebook, etc... Posting quotes from unreliable news sources is discouraged. The moderation team reserves the right to delete such posts, if necessary.

Including links to other websites in threads and posts is allowed as long as the link doesn’t contain SPAM, illegal downloads, cracks, adult content, non family-oriented content, terrorism, violence, hate, and discrimination. The Forum staff reserves the right to remove any link if found inappropriate. Linking to commercial websites for free is SPAM.
