Saying he will wait until Putin is overthrown in order to be able to get Crimea back means he is not Putin Guy.
The other stuff shows that he is realistic guy seeking to solve Ukraine problem.
This does not make him Putin guy.
like PMA stance on Syria, this does not make him Syrian guy.
Of course it's better for Putin to have someone to talk to, but doesn't make him his guy...
See the point?
I m rectifying my post
He is not Putin guy
Putin doesn’t control him like Syria control Frangieh
But is like PMA replacing Geaga as President Of Lebanon
Not Syria guy but open to Syria
So Putin won
He replaced an enemy with a potential partner
And he still control Venezuela
So he took Crimea Donbass Kerch Sea Azov Sea plus Syria plus Caucasien Sea plus Military alliance and bases in Central Asia Armenia Moldova
Plus Ukraine he destroyed his enemy there
Plus US Sanctions not affecting Russia plus Russia trade surplus 300 billions dollars
Plus 30 billions dollars budget surplus
Plus 10,000 nukes
Plus alliance with right wing movement in the World
No wonder Putin is considered the most powerful world leader
He doesn’t have the ressources of the US
But he control his own big ressources

You mean the ultranationalist Russian
He is not Russia government
He is a parliamentarian
Not in Putin party
For Russia anyone but Porechonko
Zelenskiy is not a Russian puppet
But at least he want to talk and respect Russian minority rights
Why did the Eastern Russian Ukranians voted for him

"He is not Russia government, He is a parliamentarian" - parliamentarian is government

Tensions flare between Russia and Ukraine

Ukraine’s smouldering seven-year war with Russian-backed separatists on its eastern border has flared up sharply in recent days, following the worst clashes in months. Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed — the largest daily death toll for government forces since the latest shaky ceasefire took effect last July — after an hours-long battle last Friday, north of the separatist stronghold city of Donetsk. Kyiv and Moscow accuse each other of triggering the escalation in the conflict, which has claimed about 14,000 lives since Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine in 2014. The Kremlin accused Ukrainian forces of resuming the hostilities as a prelude to full-scale fighting, which eased in 2015 under a faltering peace agreement brokered by France and Germany in Minsk. “We express concern over the growing tension and express concern that the Ukrainian side might resort to provocative actions that could lead to war. We really don’t want to see that,” Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Russian president Vladimir Putin, told reporters on Wednesday, according to Interfax. He added that Russia, which has denied any involvement in the conflict despite overwhelming evidence it controls the separatists, considered it a “civil war”. Peskov said Putin stressed the “lack of an alternative” to the Minsk agreements during a phone call with France’s president Emmanuel Macron and German chancellor Angela Merkel on Tuesday. Putin accused Ukraine of not fulfilling its obligations under the treaty and claimed it had “provoked” the recent flare-up, according to a Kremlin readout. The pact has come under pressure because of Russia’s reluctance to acknowledge its role in the war and Ukraine’s resistance to giving the two conflict regions autonomy in its constitution. The three leaders last met Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, to discuss the agreements in Paris in 2019, but made little progress. Peskov said Putin, Macron and Merkel agreed that a new summit was “essential” but was only likely to take place after negotiations based on the Paris meeting resumed. The US has expressed concern over the recent flare-up. On Monday, national security adviser Jake Sullivan told Andriy Yermak, Zelensky’s chief of staff, that the US had “unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, in the face of continuing aggression”. US European Command has raised its watch level to that of “potential imminent crisis”, the highest level, according to the New York Times. The Pentagon said: “We are aware of the reports and are monitoring the situation. However, we will not speak to matters of intelligence but will provide an update when appropriate to do so. Regarding [watch] levels, we do not discuss details of intelligence for operations security reasons.”

Kyiv and its western backers have accused Russia of orchestrating and fuelling what they have described as a proxy separatist war in Ukraine’s Donbas region. In recent weeks, officials have also warned of military build-ups near the conflict zone and exercises in Crimea, which has been starved of water supplies since Ukraine turned off its access to canals following the annexation. Addressing Ukraine’s parliament on Tuesday about the deaths of the soldiers, Ruslan Khomchak, commander-in-chief of the country’s armed forces, said Russia’s behaviour was “aggressive” and a “threat to the military security of the state”. “Under the guise of control exercises . . . the Russian armed forces are gradually increasing troops near the state border of Ukraine in the north, east and south,” Khomchak said. The US state department said it was aware of Ukrainian military reports concerning Russian troop movements on Ukraine’s borders. “We are discussing our concerns about this increase in tensions in ceasefire violations and regional tensions with Nato allies.” Recommended The FT ViewThe editorial board Putin contends with a neighbourhood in turmoil US secretary of state Antony Blinken spoke by phone with Ukrainian foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba on Wednesday. “The secretary affirmed the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression in the Donbas and Crimea,” the state department said. Later the same day, Leonid Kravchuk, head of Ukraine’s delegation to the Minsk peace talks, said his Russian counterparts had refused to support a proposal calling for a fresh ceasefire starting on April 1. “I do not understand why the Russian delegation does not consider it necessary to focus on saving people’s lives,” Kravchuk said. Russian FSB drone downed in Ukraine

A new evidence of Russian military presence in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine had been revealed.

On 8 March 2021 the tactical UAV Zala 421-08-M (with operating range up to 30 km) belonging to Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) special unit hiddenly operating in Ukraine (probably a sniper group) was downed by Ukrainian militaries hundreds kilometers from border with Russia.

It worth saying that presence of multiple spare parts of foreign origin puts so called self-reliance of Russian defense industry under question.

Moreover this fact refutes the basic narratives of Russian propaganda proclaimed recently on UN and OSCE platforms.

I think any stupid attack of Russian Federation forces on Ukrainian land now will be dealt accordingly , it s not 2014 anymore. Russian Federation army myth will vanish.

But why? Why should we care what Putin does in Ukraine and how does it matter when it comes to Lebanese politics?

-Syria showed the power of the Russian army and weapons
-Armenia and azarbejan have Russian weapons
Azar won because of Israeli and Turkish drones plus its army 3 times bigger than Armenian army and with a much bigger budget
Russia is biggest winner ; Armenian were illegally occupying karaback ; the Russian army today is protecting the peace and the Christians in nagorny karaback
- Ukrainian army is obselete ; only moder weapon is US javelin; you don’t have Modern planes or navy or cruise missiles or armata tanks or stealth planes Russia is producing Su 57 stealth
- nato will not interfere or nuclear weapons will be used
- Donbass have 500,000 Russian nationals living there
Millions of refugees came to Lebanon before Russia intervention
Finally see Russia position in Syria attacked by drones or missiles including USA and Israel or Turkey all shot down
