Good for you! I believe we first have to respect the law to be able to build a true democratic nation. Freedom of speech have its limitation according to the Lebanese Constitution. It is up to you as a citizen to abide the law.

2 wrongs doesn't make a right! If tomorrow the state went after this criminal, shou awlak iza 2allon why you are going after me, ma hedak killed 5 people and still free! Would you still ask for his release just because others made a bigger crime?

    kif khalaton b ba3don ?
a facebook status is not a crime, she didn't kill anyone. so there is no reason for arrest.
I am pointing to the inconsistency in FPM thinking starting from the high officials to the base.
And I see that in this presidency in particular such things should not happen.
I am against putting someone in jail because he said something that I, or most of the people or the government didn't like

Crimes are not only limited to murder. Insulting the President is a crime according to the Lebanese Constitution.

You can criticize the government all you want. Insulting is not considered criticizing but zamm w ta7kir to the President. This is forbidding in the Constitution for reasons the lawmakers who put it may explain it.

Now, different between supporting SAA in Syria than supporting the SAA and honored that he cleansed your Lebanese Army! Unless, you believe the Lebanese army equates Al Qaeda and ISIS. Khayya ma3 min?

She was not put in "jail" because her of oct.13 statement but because she insulted "the President", a criminal act according to the constitution !

Do she have a brother? Is he in the Lebanese army that once she said it is good that it was cleansed by an occupation army?

Assuming that she is in custody because of these allegations!

The law is not relative as sin towards God! You committed a wrong, you have to pay for it! Your brother in the army or not, it doesn't help.

Why do they call her Nashita?
Sorry but this was not freedom of speech.
Most likely doing this to get more attention and followers. And she got rewarded.
Engaging crooks this way will make them more heard. Just send her a warning and ignore her.
Anyway she deserves what she is in now.

After seeing the comments I come to the conclusion that FPMers are like the others, nothing has changed other than faces and names.
Adnan Adoum, Mirza, and others used the law to subdue opposing voices, and you are doing the same.
Probably worse since you are going after an unknown girl who is tweeting something you don't like.
Your anger is considered sacred (cf otv video)
    others anger is considered filth...
Keep like that and you will be creating problems for yourselves more than you might imagine.
Because making a hero out of silly and idiot girl will encourage more to do that and attract attention, and you can't put all of them in prison.

PS. if she were someone with strong backing like Nabih Berri for example would she have been arrested for 1 hour ? aw ma shatrin ta3mlo 3anater gheyr 3al d3af.

So, the President is not the one who asked for her arrest... yet, him and Bassil got accused of it.

How are we going to build a country with such ignorant people?
Doesn't Bassil have the right to go after all who tried to ruin his name by falsely accusing him of being behind her arrest?

Well it's happening under his mandate - he s gonna be on the line of fire

I would have not arrested her even if she's wrong and against the law - but once it happened they have to go all the juridical way otherwise they will make from a crazy woman a hero and encourage every mawtour to insult people on the internet

As for hanaday And her love for bashar - hope she will one day live in Syria in a bashar controlled city maybe she will enjoy more freedom of expression
