No, he will face a lot of international pressure and sanctions.

Find an independent figure instead to form a specialists government.

No. Pro HA guy is a bad idea. It puts international pressure and it instigates Sunnis. There are much better options.

    Charbel Nahhas ok.

Walid alamuddin or someone like him would be my favorite option. Tammam or nawwaf salam possibly. Ibrahim mneimneh. So many options better than Osama Saad.

    First, MOF is shi3a property
    According to Berri and HA

2 no one accepts Nahhas in MOF
Especially not FPM especially not HA nor Berri...

    1. There is also Dr Hassan Mokalled who is a specialist of finance and is trusted by HA for his skills in this domaine.
But I think HA also trusts Dr Nahhas for tqking in charge NOW the MoF

    2. It is only up to HA+AMAL to decide since as you said this ministry is supposed to be given to a Shia
ANd nominating a non Shia would appease the Sunni street...

I wish Osama Saad as PM and Charbel Nahhas as MOF. Interior is Amal. Defense FPM and Foreign Affairs to Osama Saad.
I personally prefer FA for HA, but it would be a big blow for the West.

Are any these people, Tammam Salam for example, ready to upset the West and take decisions based on Lebanon's interest and urgent needs and not USA dictates. Would they go to Syria to launch a silk road from Lebanon to China, passing by Iran and Russia.

I agree, I think Osama Saad is overhyped. I would rather much more go with Hassan Murad.
Yes, I am sick of US and its games and what it's making us go through. Let us go with a 1 sided government and get it over with.

Yes I do. If we remain slaves to the US and Saudi Arabia they will always try to implement the same plan and put us in the same situation until we enter a civil war to disarm hezballah.

We might as well do the hard step now while we have some cards still.

If we fail then so be it. We’re heading to the abyss anyway.

And this is coming from a right Christian who will probably hate 90% of what Saad says. But I long ago realized zionists and their plans main enemy is Christianity.

But suppose SHN and PMA agree on Osama Saad who is part of the Hirak and is popular in the Sunni street at least in the South. Would you defend it or oppose it.

PMA and SHN are 2 trusted figures in my book and I would give anyone they name the benefit of the doubt.
But I think we can do better than Osama Saad.

    @agnostic i appreciate your thread.

This is my personal opinion not reflecting anyone else. I personally don't like people who have not been successful in a business personally. There is something about leading and running a business honestly that is very vAluable. They dont have to be a tycoon, ok. But Charbel Nahas is a Tanzir guy. Not much real action. Ousama is a great clean guy. No question. How good of a finantial mind will he be to navigate this crisis? We need a team that is skilled in international finance, and managing a crisis like no other. My personal opinion.

I really think Safadi’s candidacy should be resurfaced. Again only my own lonesome personal opinion. 😉

    I have a few observations if I may :)

    1. The title of this thread gave me a headache, it is too convoluted
    2. The options in the poll gave me a migraine
    3. Why are you calling Nahhas a mof?
    4. Who is Osama Saad?
    5. How does the president nominate the government?
    6. In what capacity does the leader of HA accept the government?

    the above is bel-Shakl :)

2amma bel-madmoun. Oops turns out you forgot to add the madmoun, but nice pics :)
